That article tells how to setup a Wi-Fi hotspot on your computer so you can connect your phone to it.

I read it and tried the Ethernet, but doesn't look like I can go that route. Wish I had some computer knowledge on this stuff. Probably easy to do.

Back
Sorry guys, I just can't do it or at least figure it out. I have the new Android 11 phone. Maybe because it is Japanese model, I can't follow the instructions that are on the link since nothing shows up the same in them pictures.

Thanks for helping me out.

Maybe the modem will work, but I don't have a home phone/no phone connections here. The telephone company has to come in and install it . Something I m not going to bother with.

Here's another 1 you might take a quick look at pics to see if they look at all like settings on your phone. It just says 'smartphone' so I don't know what version android they're showing

I have a flip 4 and dex cable to use my phone as a pc in a sense. They used to make usb-c cables for samsung dex ( desktop experience) which did have an rj45 jack. No guarantee all your apps will choose to use that adapter, but it has been around in a half-baked implementation for quite some time now.

To make it easy on yourself I’d pick up a fairly inexpensive wireless router. Should work seeing that you’re connected via a cat5.

ATS wouldn't allow the URL direct to Windows 10 instructions, but its easy to click on that tab from link above.

I guess if it's going to be possible without any added software or equipment, that's going to be it!

1) You don't want to use your PC for Wi-Fi on the phone. It will just slow down both .
2) Get a Wifi-Fi enabled router with hard wire also . Your router will have a place to connect the cable.
3) Connect the cable to your router and the phone via Wi_FI.
4) Done. Enjoy .

If you have access to visible, their monthly fee is $25usd for unlimited internet and hotspot. I generally use about 50 gigabytes a month on streaming alone and it keeps up, speed- wise.

I think solis may be an alternative too. Not a bad idea.
