This article is getting destroyed in the comment section rightful so.
An article likely written for click bait.

Although i couldn't noticed how they were cherry picking some of the tweets that they had put in the article while they were desperately trying to defend, justifying the current race swap, tokenizing of characters which were written based from Euporean Mythologies, folklore characters.

Of course the author begins with a lie not the first lie to start off with the disgraceful talking points.

My Ariel Is Black and Shes Swimming in White Tears

Whiteness is the default for social and cultural normalcy in America. This stands true despite the fact that white American “culture” is generally pilfered from all the non-white cultures that surround it (music, dance, slang, food, etc).

We recently had seen how they tokenized Batman, Superman in other forms of media in these cases the comics.
The article also begins to criticize onto why they couldn't create new characters.

Which is amusing.

If Disney wants more diversity, they should have create another character…

What Disney did was cultural appropriation.

I would like to be the first to stand up and offer our "minority" overlords every last bit of stupid-ass slang, all the made up idiotic words and phrases and EVERY. LAST. NOTE. of their generally worth-less-than-fresh-turds "music" back to them. As matter of fact, please take them back. We will compensate you.

However if you reverse her to white, you will get banned on twitter.

I know the uncreatives can't create so they race swap then pat themselves on the back, instead of giving us original interesting non-huwhite characters...

But like I said, why care, don't like don't support it.

Disney can eat # after how they # all over starwars.

It's a soulless corporation what do you expect?

Imagine being so racist that you write an article mocking your fabled white foes instead of celebrating Disney’s choice to revamp a classic retelling of Hans Christens Andersen’s legendary fairy-tale for a new generation.

So very progressive.

Way to go racists. Way to go.

Some Asian Countries do race swapping for most of the western movie releases..
At least in China and in some Asian countries they dont these kind of attempts what the current western countries are currently aiming for.

In China they treat their characters with respect, honor.

In Western countries you no longer have such things in the stories nor characters, therefore their stories in some ways become either shallow or uninteresting.

Tokenized haven't being doing well in other countries.

Like someone before had stated just maybe blackwashing, whitewashing, and genderswapping is wrong, just like for sake of equality all around?

They still keep pushing with these race swapping despite the rejections from the original fans.

Remember when it was just the black hewbrew Israelites on the interwebs back in the 99/00s claiming all these white people in history were actually black?

At least that # was hilarious entertaining trolling....

Now we just get a bunch of people who have never been victimized wishing they were, they think they are but man, take trip to saudi arabia if you want some fun.

I love the outfits.

Well, I sure hope you're sitting down.

The original cartoon had a Jamaican crab.

Since we know that talking crabs didn't complete their first transatlantic passenger service until 1920, obviously that cartoon wasn't real.

It's becoming clear Disney has never had any intention of producing a historically accurate movie about mer-persons and the Danes that love them.

I demand my mermaids to be a historically accurate monstrosity.

That said, for people that hate when other people make things about race, you sure make things about race a lot.

Could you imagine being a grown ass man or woman and bi***ing about a children’s show meant for kids. That’s got to be the most looser # I’ve seen in awhile.

Your people love black culture. The music, the way they dress and talk. Your younger people are infatuated with blacks and try to imitate them anytime they can.

Honestly, misspelling “loser” is still the biggest loser #. Anytime someone does that it’s ultra cringe. It’s like “this person doesn’t read, how hard can they be winning in life?”

Our whole family quit Disney after it was publicly admitted they purposely are trying to make all of their content as woke as possible. Including LGBT into programming for tiny children that never before even had any sexuality of any kind before.

Disney is openly raising the prices in their parks because "rich people spend more money" and they want only big spenders in the parks now because Disney makes more money on them than regular folk. They have openly said this in several articles I have read in reputable newspapers.

Disney lost me and my entire family, we shut off Disney+ and removed it from our "guide list of favorites". While we used to go to the parks every few years, no more, they don't want us, we don't want them.

As far as the little mermaid. So what if she is black? Who really cares? This is a huge nothing burger, and Disney did it solely to create buzz (free publicity) and to show how woke they are - for the money.

I know, liberals want to highlight how evil all white people are. Liberals are making an over the top, huge deal out of how racist every white person on the planet is, as usual and normal behavior for liberals, sigh, it is getting old and redundant.

I wouldn't care if they made Ariel purple, I'm not watching it anyway. Disney lost me as a customer along with my entire extended family.

But really, a black Ariel is a huge nothing burger.

Having articles about the few who are stupidly upset is fanning the flames of hatred of white people and is typical liberal behavior. Liberals love to chant "white people bad" and create more hate and racism, it is a favorite pastime of liberals these days. The only thing liberals love to do more is chant "straight white people born bad" and fan more and more and more flames of hatred.

Most people don't care what skin color the people in a movie are if it's good. But when it's people who DO care about skin color shoving it in people's faces you get blowback.

No one complained when they cast Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury in the Marvel movies. Because that's when Marvel movies were good.

Disney continues to climb in revenue and profits despite the backlash for their "wokeness" and progressive stance.

They know there is a much broader market than just catering to European "white" fairy tales and such, so they will not only cater to that now, but alao push for it as well in other aspects of the entertainment industry.
Rmemeber, back when the original little mermaid came out, you had to go to a theater, in pretty much a western nation, or purchase it on some sort of format to play on a TV.
Nowadays everyone has some type of screen and access to some form of cashless payment method.
Think about the new audience to tap into in Africa, just look at how well Black Panther did there.
It'd all about the market and money.

Now, I'd also like to say I wonder how people will act when they find out Hans Christian Anderson was known to be quite sexually curious and wove it into his works...
