It might be salient.. with this silver channel the guy phones dealers and wants to know what they are prepared to pay over the manipulated spot price. At the moment the best offer was 9 dollars. They would not pay that unless demand was high, so at the moment that's a third over the spot price. Is supply and demand kicking in.? They expect to make a profit so they would onsell which pushes the free market price up further. With the share market problems, the price of Gold and silver traditionally fall before it takes off. The government and Banks do not want anything to compete with the fiat currencies thus they try to control the price, at the comex one ounce of silver is sold many times if people wanted to take physical possession they would not have enough. One average missile has about five hundred ounces. It has been stated that the amount of above-ground silver is the same as above-ground gold. Are we starting to see reality kicking in on the real prices of precious metals?
metals?

Current spot price is $19.60 and Ampex is now selling silver eagles at $33.87.

That's a $14.27 premium over spot. Sure, they can pay $5, $6 or $9 over spot price when they can turn around and sell them at a $5+ profit.

1500+ eagles is $667 per 20 coin roll. That's still $33.35 ea.

US mint coins have always brought a premium over spot metals prices. Always!

Wow! This is real good news. I had no idea. Ive been buying silver for years. I used to get rounds and eagles for about $6, and the most recent may have been as much as $17, and I choked to pay that much. I was kind of bummed when I saw silver dip down recently. I put away a lot of Morgans and peace dollars too, and bars. I hope gold coins are worth more then the spot price too. I think I paid around $1700 for my last oz of gold. It made me sick to pay that much, but I was losing faith in our fiat dollars

It is looking like we are running out of silver as consumption is growing with the inventory falling. It actually looks like it might be real this time.
