Fall, the best season there is.
I’ve lived in some incredible places, but if they don’t have a “real” fall it’s not enough.

There is something about the changing leaves. The thin air with just the right amount of crisp to it, I swear it almost has a sweetness to it.
The foggy mornings with breathtaking sunrises. The spices of the season, cinnamon, pumpkin and apples. Oh the sweet apples straight off the tree.
Leather boots and fall flannels. The scent of well worn leather on a crisp morning! Hay rides, corn mazes, and hot cider. Friday night football games. Walks through the woods while the colorful leaves fall to your feet like glitter. The crunch and shuffle sound beneath your feet.

Seeing birds fly overhead going south. Candles lit inside and the smell of wood fireplaces outside. Neat stacks of wood get dried in the sun. The night sky is so clear, so sharp with a million stars you can almost touch. Soups and stew and homemade bread fills the house with a warm aroma. Beautiful flowers and harvest changing colors every day, slowly turning all shades of red, brown and ivory. Barn cats scurry catching their latest prey. Thick blankets, socks and sweater make their seasonal appearance. The love of fall is the love of all things warm, cozy, homey, and lovely.

I concur captain!

When I lived in Oregon, summer was by far my favorite season. Now that I live in Arizona, I absolutely DETEST summertime. I’ve been counting down the days for the season to change. In the region of AZ where I live, it typically happens right on the solstice. I CAN’T WAIT!!!

The reason I’m not fond of spring, is because it means summer is right around the corner. Fall is by far the best time of the year!

Funny thing, I love all things fall but can’t stand pumpkin spice latte!
I do have the yoga pants and the boots, but only wear them when I’m feeling extra basic!

It’s a dark time of year, like your avatar.

All the fermenting leaves makes for a free drunk.

Fall is my favorite season because the mosquitoes have disappeared and the leaves are gone so you can see the bears and carnovours before they attack you. This fall has been a little rainier than usually, it makes it worse for doing fall projects. It is cooler around here too. and the morning dew and frosts are usually all gone by around ten AM.

The colors do not impress me, I am from the U.P of Michigan and I live out in the woods. We have lots of trees here turning color every year. I don't care for living in areas without trees, lived down in Sheboygan for almost two years and I missed the forests and trees all over the place. There were little plots of woods among the fields but that was not enough for me so that is one of the reasons I moved back to the U.P of Michigan so quickly. The cities suck, not enough trees, everyone bitches about having to rake leaves in the cities, I just let them sit on the ground and mulch them all up with the riding mower in the spring.

This is how we know God truly loves us.

However, I’m not sure I want to see you wearing them. 🤣

I was just at Kohler Andre a few weeks back. What a gorgeous place that is.
I always get a good vibe and a healing type of feeling there.

I am surrounded by trees but I still love the changing of colors. I really look forward to it. I’ve added more to my landscape to enhance it. I don’t think I could ever tire of it.

I found the whole movie on YT. Weather here has been weird and mild. So some of the leaves are changing. It spontaneously set me into Halloween mode.

Trick or Treat was an oldy to see.

And it's Ripe with cheese. 👍😁

Never got to Kohler Andre park when I was down there, I was with some friends of mine and we went flying into a field on an icy spot on the highway near that intersection. On the way back to Sheboygan after a friend picked us up, I put a hundred bucks down on a soft tail Harley...but I never went back to buy it, I quit Kohler a week later to go work on construction as a roofer....was tired of working in the foundry and I hated the fact that I started thinking it was a good job. I have had many different kinds of jobs, I would work at them till I learned the jobs well. I have learned many professions in my life. I like learning things, just because I quit Pre-med in college does not mean I quit learning. Plus, you get paid to learn when you are working instead of paying to learn.

Well if you or anyone else get’s the chance I highly recommend it!
The only way I can describe it is that it really feels more like you are at the ocean and beach in Florida.
It does not feel like Wisconsin at all.

Fall is my favorite season. No humidity and just cool enough to wear a sweater. Cool nights and start up the fireplace and nurse a cup of coffee or hot cocoa under a blanket. The changing colors on trees. Love me some fall.

One of my favorite vacations was going to Martha's Vineyard in the fall. It was after tourist season so the island was pretty empty and quiet. Leaves turning colors. Just nice enough in the day for a t-shirt but crisp and cool at night for a fire. Just sit up in the cabin and doing a jigsaw puzzle. No TV. Absolute heaven imho.

Ugg. No.
3rd best.

I hate the cold. And while Halloween is my favorite holiday, living in MI, we could have 70F for it, or snow.
Our summers don't last long enough.
So much more to do outside in the summer. I can handle the heat.
Hubby really wants to move, but with elderly parents, with failing health, plus kids and grandkids, that isn't going to happen.
