I've noticed the slow down.

I've actually had to check my news feeds on the alternative social media I use. It has brought up a number of interesting subjects, but my voice is lost in the crowd there. I should just report some of this here and some other boards that have gotten slow as well.

Maybe it's burn out or people have other things going on they can't ignore any longer. But it is very slow right now.

Well. Anything would seem slow after the barrage of Putin fighting Nazis threads have dried up?

It has become a conspiracy sight that pours hate at anyone who believes a conspiracy or intends to chat about and investigate something not mainstream. Sometimes even having threads, statements or questions removed and not even figure out why.
So what does that leave for a conspiracy site?

You folks realize Russia is losing the war and it lost as much territory today as the entire area of Greater London?

Putin is furious and the FSB and GRU probably don't know which way to go and what propaganda to push... hence the low activity on ATS.

It will pick up when they get new directives.

I agree, all the politics, war, Queen Elizabeth, etc have been discussed quite a bit here and elsewhere, got no problem discussing those topics but definitely tired of suspect videos and links, we need some real news.

I came on about 5 yesterday morning and also noted the lack of activity. Given the crap content on ATS of late, I figured nothing was a slight improvement!!!

I do feel a little guilty, because I am one of those who isn't posting much these days. Partly because I have a lot going on right now, but mostly because when I can find some time for myself, I can find better things to do than waste my time writing comments only to be ignored; or worse, called vile names and otherwise attacked. Usually by partisan critters stuck in the echo chamber of their choice. Of course, there are also the wholesale incel/MGTOW insults and offensive language against ALL women which has become common.

I've had sooooo many ATS friends run off from here it's quite sad. And it shows in the quality of content. Quite sad indeed.

ATS has ups and downs in the number of members online, and number of new threads.

It seems to be fueled by drama in the world.
So, that is somewhat good news.
There is no big drama right now.

I haven't done as many threads as I probably should or could.
And run of the mill topics don't get much attention.

All I can offer is applause, stars and flags.
And.... Be the Change You Wish to See. Redux.

I noticed how the site gets slower each day... not surprised really.
I've tried to make a few threads the last months, and I really do appreciate getting applause for it, but It feels like no one is discussing the presented topics and all I do is defend myself for stating an opinion or a theory. ATS was never the easiest site, but at least there used to be real debates, there used to be helpful topics, stuff you couldn't find anywhere else and people seemed more friendly.
but lately, it's like: "you sound like a woman", "doom porn lover", "dirty atheist",... to name a few.
and oh, just everybody is THE expert these days... so sometimes I join a discussion, but quickly give up

Insults only work if they hurt our feelings, and hurt feelings only happen when someone cares about those doing the insulting.

I always consider the source on the net, and the number of people I've allowed that kind of access to my feelings is pretty close to zero.

Insults only work if they hurt our feelings...

I used to think like this too... but hurt feelz isn't the only purpose for insults and attacks.

For example, it's also effective in shutting down anyone making reasonable and thoughtful comments when they get only childish and churlish responses. Why even bother? It also frustrates readers who want more facts and substance than schoolyard bullying.

It just isn't worth the time and effort to wade through...
