I just use my cell phone for the two-factor log in stuff. I never answer any calls that come to it.

I will be concerned about my vehicles extended warranty.

I'de be thrilled if all the cell phones got fried. It would be so nice, even if the internet and landlines got hit, it would still be ok for me. I no longer have a cell phone, the wife does but I quit. I had a bag or cell phone for ten years before most people around here had one. I got mine back in the mid eighties and gave up my cell around 2008. I finally did my first text on a cell phone two weeks ago...what a clumbsy stupid way to communicate...just dial the number and say what you want to say, your text is not answered for a while sometimes and you forget what you wanted to talk about when they return your text.

I have my old Ham radio and as well as a CB base station.

Fine with me as long as there are others out there that can communicate, otherwise... It really won't matter, will it?

A : If by TPTB - never going to happen as they need to track us.

The opposite is happening. Soon there will be no dead spots, and almost all of the world will be introduced to phone addiction.

Starlink announced a partnership with Tmobile for satellite connectivity for existing smartphones outside of cell tower coverage. This will be limited to mostly texting.

Apple announced today a partnership with GSAT for emergency texting outside of coverage.

Kuiper is teaming up with Verizon for unknown capabilities.

And a few startups are vying for full 5g service world wide. One launches their proof of concept satellite on Saturday.

Why would they turn off all the tracking devices and microphones which is about to unlock all of the world?

Yup, unless it's family or my girlfriend I don't answer squat. If it's not important enough for a voicemail or text message it must not be all that important.

Smoke signals and passenger pigeons.

Americans dont eat sardines like they did last century. I keep some on hand for some special recipes like a Italian spaghetti served with garlic, capers, and anchovies sauteed in EVO. It just uses a few tiny filets for flavor and is absolutely wonderful.
As for cell phones.... I never carry mine with me. I dont like being tracked, and I can find lots of other things to do instead. I do like keeping in touch with my kids through text though.
