It's fascinating to see so many left-leaning folks taking such a keen interest in...
Improper Handling of Sensitive Material zOMMMG
(Pearl Clutching commences)
It's amazing how 6-ish years ago this was a nothing burger???
It's already been stated in the thread, but to dispel and disabuse such an imbecilic idea...
"paper" IS NOT more secure/harder to track then "digital" copies.
With a terabyte external USB drive I could scan to high-resolution images, compress, encrypt every document Trump had at his residence, and then a
whole lot more.
If a malicious person were to get box of those classified documents, they "won"...they have the info they're after (assuming the paper is in that
box). If a malicious person instead grabs the external USB drive....congratulations, you have a paper weight that is full of indecipherable encrypted
gibberish (unless you head over to NSA headquarters with drive in hand).
If Trump knowingly held onto documents past expiration of his security clearance and (this is the important part) AND AND he did so with malicious
intent, to disseminate to those w/o security clearance, to sell it (laughable idea), to blackmail, then throw the book at him. I really don't care, if
he goes to jail or not, although this process is proof positive that there are those (even on ATS) infected with TDS, and have a legitimate
psychological ailment that simply won't allow them to move past the Trump presidency.
One last thing: IF Trump had malevolent designs (as above, blackmail, sale) to misuse any of the sensitive material, he would've done EXACTLY as
Hillary Clinton did in 2016. She set a template for how to construct secretive, extra-legal digital infrastructure to hold and disseminate
sensitive materials that she HAD NO LEGAL STANDING to possess and distribute in that manner. Then, when discovered, and (get this!) subpoenaed
(GASP!) for her emails...her team systematically went about wiping ("ummm, you mean with a rag?" STFU Hillary, playing stupid is very unbecoming),
digitally and physically destroying computer servers and smartphones, essentially ignoring the subpoena for that information.
Either you are a proponent of equal and consistent application of the law, or....you are a hypocrite. End of discussion.
So IMO, if improperly storing/mishandling classified material is truly a crime...lock both Hillary AND Trump up for it. Easy peasy.
If instead this is a crime in name only, and no legal consequences fall out of it, as was the case with both Hillary's email server and Humah
Abadeen's placement of sensitive docs on her pedo husband's laptop, then STFU, and move on. Otherwise it's just another transparent and obvious Trump
smear job.
At this point you TDS folks have taken an overall hard to like, unsympathetic figure like Trump, and have put him on the road to martyrhood with the
FISA debacle and now what's looking like a paper retread of 2016 Hillary emailgate. You are engaging in this endeavor as you have been programmed to,
by MSM, who in turn do so at the behest of the Deep State.
It's quite amazing that with a place like this, with a generally open minded and enlightened (or on the road to enlightment) user base, so many
members have a complete lack of critical thinking,
Like the the member I heard propose that multi-millionaire Trump, already in some form of wealth and affluence, would engage in espionage to sell
classified US documents to foreign parties.
Think long and hard for a moment, at how STUPID and unlikely that idea sounds. What motivation is there to do that, if Trump is already quite wealthy,
and knowing he has a vast group of enemies looking for the slightest excuse to nail him to the wall, and that any such leak would be TRIVIALLY linked
back to him? Again, a person whose interested in below the board information exchange would do EXACTLY what Hillary did.
