I’ve worked for a Cree Nation for 20 years and your right, people don’t hear the half of it.

We also don’t hear about the atrocious living conditions and lack of fresh water and basics of life.

Somehow we always find the money to ship overseas though.

People don’t hear any of it. I live incredibly close to numerous native reserves with family members in the legal field as lawyers. It’s freaking insane what happens. Like make your head spin levels of child abuse and domestic violence that happen on the regular.

This is a long-standing problem with the indigenous population in Canada. I'm not sure it's fixable either, with the nations having their own ideas about law and order, etc. or so I have heard and read about.

“Saskatchewan RCMP have confirmed at least 10 people have died in 13 different locations as a result of the stabbings that occurred Sunday morning on James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, northeast of Saskatoon.“

At least 10 deceased and 15 more injured from stabbing attacks in 13 locations. I hope that clears it up.

It’s typical poorly worded reporting.

Odds are they knew everyone they killed and went out at night and did so. Pounding on a door at night will often have that door opened especially if you know the person. They could have even went to the door covered in blood saying they need help and then just stab who ever opened the door.

To reply to your comment on poor conditions on reserves working with the Cree nations for 20 years how much of the blame lays at the feet of cree leaders chief and councils in your eyes? for pocketing the money ment for their people chronically over years. They have a saying “the cheques in the mail” for a reason.. It’s the same story across many reserves and the white man gets blamed.

You’re correct in your observation about reserve leadership. With most reserves having a small population with top heavy Chief and Council, positions that are appointed to family members, and contracts awarded through questionable means a lot of money is skimmed off of grants and other sources of funds.

It’s like real world politics on steroids. They all want their cut.

There seems to be a bit more oversight from band members and the feds over that last few years, especially since the Chiefs wages were made public a while back.

Now they are saying one of the suspects has been found dead with injuries that were not self inflicted.
The other one is still on the loose and may be injured.

Looking at all the MSM news and not one station is covering this shocking news. IMO this proves it's Cree Nation killing its own.

I saw two references to this case on the Portuguese version of Euronews, one yesterday and the other today, so it was considered with enough interest to be spread by the international news agencies.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff? They could have had guns nothing was stoping them from having guns. Loads of Canadians have firearms and that even more true for reserves.
