38% of people were of Russian origin.
Russian people were NOT in the majority.

Kremlin funded ultra-Nationalist Russian Militia's had been conducting a campaign of terror against official Ukrainian government installations etc and at times against Jews and non-Orthodox Christians.
The Ukrainian government took action against these Militia's.
Yes, at times the response was quite brutal and maybe even excessive.....but it was as a direct result of Putin sanctioned provocation deliberately designed to generate a response from Kiev that could justify and vindicate his invasion.

As usual you present an incredibly loaded and one-sided version of events that does not represent the full story.
