Population is controlled by birth rates. The Chinese found that out and they know that one thing will occur if they don't cross breed. Their population will decrease within 12 years to a point of no return.
Japan, Italy and many other countries also see this happening. More deaths then births.
Planned Depopulation by artificial means is only a myth .

Artificial i.e manmade, planned depopulation is much faster and it isn't a myth, because plans have been written and we atte right now in the middle of the biggest kill fest ever.
Both natural and man-made depopulation are not mutually exclusive, they are both happening.
No natural depopulation in Africa or India btw.

People choosing not to have children. What's wrong with that? That's why population growth in some of the developed world is reducing. In China, it was an enforced policy, but in other countries it's because people are making a choice.

Generally.

Advanced economies, healthcare, education and opportunity, with settled societies and long lives = lower birth rate.
Sh1t holes, where life is cheap = higher birth rates.

"Convenience" brought us birth control pills. And that brought the acceptance of the sex act...w/o fear of pregnancy.

All of a sudden, birth control pills were been taken like vitamins college and high school students. Now it's the norm.

Good point today MIM..How much bigger would our world population be if there wasn't the pill all these years!?

The birth rate in developed countries is falling because we have bred a couple of generations of ME, ME, ME people. THEY are the ones that don't want children because ME, ME, ME, or, I don't want children because they'll ruin my life. Cramp my lifestyle.

AND, in third world countries it's the usual that's been going on for decades. Have kids, get handouts. If the kid dies well meh, have another one. Who remembers all the adverts from the 1960s? It was Biafra then, it's a few more countries now. The "look at the starving kids", "send us aid now, for the children". Same old, same old. The kids are a meal ticket for the adults and the sooner the Western World learns that lesson and STOP sending them aid.

But, THE CHILDREN, THE CHILDREN.

Apparently, you've not heard of the concept to never let a good crisis go to waste.

I still plan on having children someday. Preferably two or three, but my "illegal immigrant" girlfriend only wants one. Go figure.

If the economy were better and education and society in general weren't such a fecal show I'd have probably already had a few children by now. I did not feel prepared to raise children at all in mybtwenties; I could barely afford to eat every day and/or worked too much to have any time for raising any children.

Only fools continue to have children they don't have the time or resources to afford.

Boomers seem pretty selfish as well if you ask me.

Since when has not wanting children been selfish? There's more to life than just pumping out children. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that one can't or shouldn't have children if their current situation isn't adequate.

This second paragraph seems to contradict the first.

That's just my opinion though.

If Jesus Christ himself, the Man of God himself, was done away with by a mere abortion that would be pretty weak.

Oh, absolutely. I get that. It wouldn't due to divine intervention. Gotta believe that.

But someone in class years ago when we were fighting Women's Rights in the 70's...suggest the "What if HE already did...but someone thought to abort.

Though strikingly poinient...not likely...but Damn. Because of our societys quick to judge what's best for ourselves every min...its only a thought.*

*Digressing topic to make point.

Oak Island ? IF the Ark was there...or anything else like it? The ground would open up and either kill the brothers and anyone else, or be revealed in a Heavenly glory....and the world would know both ways.

But still...a chilling thought never the less.
