fair enough, i should have said changed precedents in that during both impeachment trials and the jan 6h show trials the dem ones continually tried to block and out right stopped republications from asking question of the witnesses.

then you have obama, biden, comey, rice, clapper, brennon, rogers, there was at least one more if i recall but can't remember her name all agreeing to investigating a candidate during a election cycle using a dossier to get FISA warrants that the FBI already knew were fake to spy on trump.

But I would think that after 6 years of the Democrat’s howling about Trump breaking the law, you could come up with more than that.

Give me some good reasons not to think that this isn’t just another Democrat hit job on Trump.

Where are the precedents of previous presidents that did the same thing that they are accusing Trump of and that they handled those the same way?

Give me one good reason to believe that the FBI and DOJ are above board on this and that their previous factual record of falsifying the FISA court affidavit against Trump and his people are a fluke and they wouldn’t try that again.

Follow the conversation. The point someone was trying to make is that the Dems were making up laws so they could investigate Trump. Those are the laws Trump is under investigation for violating. None of them are new. Ergo, the poster that started this thread of conversation was wrong.

Where are the precedents of previous presidents that did the same thing that they are accusing Trump of and that they handled those the same way?

Show me another President that was keeping classified documents that belonged to NARA in their personal residence after their term ended and then we can talk about precedence.

The lying party in power has been illegally investigating trump since he was a candidate in 2016.
They lied to get the investigation started then.
They are already outside the scope of the warrant now.

Well you could claim it's an illegal investigation if at any time, he claimed he did not have documents that should be with NARA. They reached out to him for months. He did provide them boxes of documents. Unfortunately some were mishandled and torn, mutilated and there were also docs marked classified. He again had further documents marked classified again in June, turned over with a subpoena.

Did we hear him shouting "witch hunt!" when NARA first reached out? No. Because he knew he had docs. Did he claim docs were already declassified when Kash was making the interview rounds saying "we will get these docs declassified and out to the people" at the end of June? No, he did not.

The FBI is lying when they say some of the documents are highly classified.

They have been declassified.

The only reason they wanted them is because they are damaging to the Biden administration and the Obama administration and the FBI in general.

In the end, if Trump is guilty of violating the Espionage Act, it doesn't matter if the documents had been declassified. If they are NDI, then that's all that matters.
