They would then concentrate on quality and not quantity. Some 1950 fridges are still going. Classic cars never die, simply because most of the parts can be handmade. Power is the currency if you are useful you live if you are not the gas chamber awaits. It worked well back in the day. The structure of society is the elite the guards and the laborers. For most of human history, it has been run that way. This little blip in time with fossil fuels is an anomoly and even then in certain countries.
