An amazing cap I got. I saw a transparent man moving around and captured atleast 12 shots of him. I compiled them into an animated gif. It seems he is flipping through a book. There is also a yellow orb floating around to the left. The man is located in the right chair in the third table.

Stills:

Found a better host

Thoughts?

It's been a year or two since I've viewed the willard ghost cam. I caught a few strange appearances at the children's library (?). Could you circle the yellow orb? I think it's to the left but I want to be sure we're looking at the same thing. I'm looking forward to the animation.
Nice shot!

The yellow orb is not in the still. The animation is up and you should be able to see it. It is rather obvious now

I've heard of that library, I guess people claim to see ghosts there all the time. In looking at the animation, It looks like it might just be a guy in a pale gray shirt wearing a grey hat. He's turning pages in a book and everything.

I see the glowing orb. Wow. You can see the 'figure' flipping through book pages, correct? How long have you been watching the cam?

Edited to add: It looks like the figure is wearing a baseball cap. Strange.

Willard Library

Ghost Study has lots of cam links. I submitted this to their gallery.

I was lucky. I went on and noticed this within a minute. I started taking a pic every refresh. Yes, I believe he is thumbing through pages. I suppose I could enlarge it an make a gif. Also he seems to disappear at about the 10th frame.

"Also he seems to disappear at about the 10th frame. "

yngwie

the page refreshes every 30 seconds, so he could have gotten up and left in that time

Yes, I have a lot more stills, but didnt feel like framing it to the right size. Here was there for a few minutes.

And when the "ghost" got up to leave, he left a solid beige jacket or sweater to save his chair!

I thought maybe someone else put it there, but it is in the middle of the sequence. The figure is gone when the jacket is there, then the jacket is gone and the figure is back. Logically, the garment looks like it was placed there to save someone's spot.

I'll have to look at it further, but a solid object that matches normal behaviour seems to call for a more normal explanation.

I put some frames from when he was gone. I have a slew of pictures of it. I will search to see if anywhere some man puts it on, but someone blocked the view at many points so I could only make a short animation of him moving for that long. Also I just added the disappearance to show that it isn't always on the camera.

I do not know the time between when he is there and isnt. When he was moving, they are the 30 secs refresh, but due to disruptions I could not see him at some points. Someone even went up to the chair in one of the pics. Possibly they placed it on there.

I will try and find a pic of him from when eh is there and leaves.

Found some

These are in order I believe
there

disappears

Comparison to people at his distance. Unless this man has a cloaking device or is pretty sneaky, I would still go with a spirit.

back

it seems he is translucent. Although when that beige coat (i am not sure what it is) is there, I can still see him faintly.

I managed to get a pic of a man sitting even further back. He is much more distinguishable then the ghost.

Here it is for reference.

That's some awesome captures! good job!

I submitted a picture back in 2001 of a shadow ghost on the Queen Mary, the Queen Mary has been my favorite ghost cam, I never was patient enough for the Willard cam since it had no chat with it...

Good Find!

if you look closely the man is not translucent, the white line seen through the man is actually not behind him it is infront of him. it is a table top light, those green library lamps. I am saying if you look at it again by considering the white line (of the lamp) is between the man and camera you can see there is nothing ghostly, just the mans clothing is pale and because of the cap his face is shadowed I beleive. so it is an illusion.

at first sight I was like

I am still concerned about that. I see what you mean, but I dont see the hat. Plus be is all one color. I feel he merges to well with everything, but you could be right. I will not exclude it, infact I am still trying to figure it out. If what you say is true, it seems like he does not have a head.

I see what you mean, but I am still confused with his head...

Upon looking over this again I am almost completely sure it is a man, not a ghost. XU seems to be correct. He is monotonous though...unless someone else can notice somethign that I do not this is erroneous.

I think his hat is the same green as the lamp. I spotted a white dot on his hat (forehead) so it shows where his head is.

Are these cams that record to vcr's/tapes or digital cams?

If tape recording cams, the translucent person can be a leftover from a reused tape.

I am having second thoughts, on the close up it seems he has no head, and if it was a green had we would see it there. I am once again undecided
.

It is live.

The figure is definitly transparant, matrix, the pics are taken my a webcam, it's live.

As xu said, it's a man not a ghost. He's wearing a beige jacket and the green lamp is in front of him. His hat is brown and has a green marking on the front of it (what looks like the ghost's eyes), and he's looking down at the book. In the close-up image, it looks ghostly because of his colors and the blurring of zooming in.

Then why do we see the bookcase through the man?!

Sorry to disapoint you, but what appears to be translucency, as if you arre seeing a whitish hilight behind the ghost is actually a light or some other object infront of the person sitting at the table. If the resolution was clearer, and larger, I think we would more certainly see a living human there.

When the guy in the yellow shirt is behind the "ghost" the "ghost" is not transparent.

The "orb" may also be a pearson sitting far back there, hard to say for sure but I can see shifts of a whitish object at a table in the foreground as well.

Still its interesting, stuff.
