Six months of sanctions in a Moscow supermarket

A little trip around the Supermarket with Valeria. So all the sanctions on Russia have amounted to zilch, that's not a political statement it's a fact, all the basics foods look healthy and reasonably priced. She says there are fires impacting the air quality in Moscow, so it looks like the Northern climes are having a problem as well, the temp is in the thirties c.which is also causing problems. But it looks like business as usual. It looks like the Western economies are the ones under sanctions.

Looks better than any local supermarket after two years of our current situation...

Yeah, last time I got groceries there were like 4 different specific things I wanted that were completely empty from the shelves.

That’s not even an exaggeration.
Everything is more well stocked there and everything is cheaper too.
Pretty much every fresh vegetable she showed, the price here is double or more.

Looks WAY better than big stores around here! I went to local walmart Sunday and they had NO bags of potatoes, NO loose potatoes, and lots of other produce was low stocks

Everything is more plentiful and cheaper than here in Michigan where I live.

I dunno. How hard would it be to fake a fully stocked grocery store with low prices? TV commercials show that all the time.

I'm not saying it's real or fake, just saying it could be either. Since I don't shop there, I really don't care.

If the Russian people have plenty of food at low prices, good for them. Not my problem.
If the Russian people are starving because of their government's policies, I hope they find a solution to their problem. Again, not my problem, nothing I can do about that.

I'll worry about the problems in my own country. So if this is a propaganda piece designed to sway my opinion, I'd have to say it's a failure.

Unless ...

It's an American propaganda piece designed to make me think it's a Russian propaganda piece so I get angry at Russians for trying to use propaganda against me.

They're overstocked like no grocery I've been to.

And all our foods gone up.

Even Save-A-Lot you still notice the squeeze.

While some people here are telling me how Russia will soon become poorer, I want to draw your attention to the fact that:

1) Russia has enough money to finance Ukrainian schoolchildren - www.abovetopsecret.com...

So I do not think that your contemplation of empty shelves in supermarkets and your stay in cold houses will somehow harm Russia.

Oh, my gosh you are soo right, most of our groceries stores in the US do not look half of that, unless you live in a affluent area.
