Something someone shared, found a little interesting for its location. Can't upload the photo so you got to type the coordinates in and zoom in you'll see it and oddly tracks.

Coordinates 44.068714,-82.911124

Interesting because the person who shared it said it leaves tracks and you can kind of see possible tracks leading to or from it.

There is also a truck they mentioned nearby, don't know how it got there? Again the location.

Coordinates 44.065836,-82.904808

What do you think this possibly is? 🤔

Very interesting, it appears to be a large cubed shaped object on a sand bar that is accessible by vehicle at low tide.

The object looks very large to me, may 10 feet wide by 20 feet tall.

The tracks are puzzling. I would say that it is likely a vehicle such as a car or truck and not an ATV or something. What is really weird is that the tracks seem to either originate or disappear at the object....

Edit to add - I need to correct my opinion on the tracks, I do see one set of tracks going directly up to the object and another set returning back. Based on the objects size, I would say the object not deposited there by a vehicle, rather it is part of the landscape...but I see no other similar objects in the area.

Edit #2 - There is also a ground level photo on google maps to the left of the sand bar at "Eagle Bay Public Access"...in the photo I believe you can see part of the sand bar but the object is not seen. This photo was taken August 2021, we need to determine when the satellite photo of the object was taken to establish a timeline.

Thanks for the input, I am perplexed by it as well. I considered maybe the tracks are from it possibly drifting but they seem continous and not staggered. They also go a fair distance south of it pretty odd.

I wonder how deep it is around that area?

My pleasure, great morning OP for me...breaks up from the other types of threads haha.

Just so I understand, you are suggesting that the object itself may have left those tracks as it moved? I would disagree with this as I think we would see more hard edges in the tracks because of it shape. We see rounded tracks that as if from a four wheeled vehicle navigating the terrain. I also see two sets of tracks, one going and one returning.

Appears quite shallow. I went to this website for lake Huron depth charts usa.fishermap.org...

I would say 2-3 feet on average. That being said the depth may vary.

All good. No it was suggested by the person who shared it that it leaves the tracks. I tried to analyze how they possibly could of been made by it. I don't know what it is, as you stated it looks pretty large/tall yet is still submerged and I cannot see a way for a land vehicle to be making said tracks underwater. Strange.

Very neat, it looks like Turnip rock is further west of the coordinates provided. Close though! It could be something similar.

You are correct - I opened both up on the maps and Turnip Rock is defiantly not it

Good catch

Use Google Map's measuring feature for size (right click on map). There's also a useful scale in the bottom right corner to get an idea of length.

In any case, the cube thing is fairly small at 1.61m (5.2 feet).

5" in width 10' in length in length , in 2-3' of water , rounded marks = pontoon boat.

Thanks, I guess I probably doubled the size. So maybe 5 feet by 10 feet.

Yep, also a pontoon boat would definitely leave the two tracks in the sand in such shallow water.

On Google earth I see what appears to be a pick up truck or a jeep. Am I seeing the wrong thing? Looks like a bunch of rocks on the ground.

Eagle Bay correct?
You can see outlines of decayed boats or ships in that area. The cement block might be placed there to tie off marine vessels.
Nice find.

I think the object is probably just a rock, there are several around that area. I couldn't find the truck.

Also, did you see the boat about 443 feet to the NNW? It looks to be ~ 85 footer. Directly east of Burnt Cabin Point.
