The US is funding the Ukrainians government payroll and military arsenal...it is about the US. Putin is draining our resources and now China is going to do the same thing with Taiwan, this is the opportunity China and Russia have been waiting for.
Ukraine is receiving increasing sophisticated weapons (HIMARS, HARM) and the training to use them effectively which putting more pressure on Russia Military experts speculate that Russia has only a few months before economic and military factors cause the whole operation to collapse.

Problem is Russia is being drained even faster and cant afford a long war of attrition. Russia is desperate for manpower, both to replace the heavy losses suffered and to conduct future operations. They are scouring prisons and dragooning ethnic minorities for manpower. Russia males (and even some females) are doing everything to avoid being conscripted in the army as view it as death sentence. Educated Russians are leaving in droves, both to avoid military service and to escape what they view as economic depression caused both by Western sanctions and the costs of the war. The resulting "Brain Drain" will cripple Russia for decades
Russia lacks the trained manpower and equipment to maintain operations against Ukraine. They have substituted heavy artillery strikes to blast the opposition rather than combined forces (armor, infantry, artillery), which Russia has shown little capability to conduct.
Using artillery to flatten everything you want to occupy, leaving a blasted ruin makes little sense.

Russia's best strategy would be to put Putin's head on a spike outside the Kremlin and get their troops out of Ukraine.

Now they target the Ukrainians and have already forced 10 million of them to flee their nation.
What would be the best strategy for Russia for the Ukraine war?
