I am always interested in the ancient Egyptians time, but dream a lot with the renaissance era, I have dreams of traveling by horse carriage.

I do know some of my past lives, in one of them I was a male painter and another I died as a child by drowning, for a long time I remember waking up gasping for air, as a child, as I got older the dream started to fade, now does not bothers me anymore, but until this day and time I cannot swim and avoid deep waters.

I have always loved to draw and paint. I've never had any training except regular public school art. I went thru some kind of developmental growth in art as my brain matured. As a young child, the focus was line drawing. I could look at something and reproduce it on paper with high accuracy. During puberty, I discovered shading and perspective (like how things further away appear smaller, etc.) My medium was still pencil, or charcoal (black & white.) Only in adulthood did I burst forth with color, using acrylic, oils, watercolor, or pastels. I tried each new medium one by one, and only when the urge to use it overwhelmed me. Without training or experience, I just dove in and made it happen.

Weirdly, I often go into a sort of meditative state and paint for hours without realizing it, and not really conscious of the color mixing and brush strokes (b/c my mind is elsewhere, and this is when answers/insights about life come to me) and then sometime later I "wake up" and feel as surprised as anyone at the painting before me, because I'll have only vague memories of actually doing it. This is when I joke that I get possessed periodically by a dead artist, lol. But now you've made me wonder if I actually was an artist by trade in a past life. (It's a hobby-- never been my career.) I just get incredibly driven to paint some particular thing (usually a person) and it haunts me until I do it. What's more, I've always known with zero doubt, that I can draw or paint anything, I just have to WANT to do it. People have asked me since I can remember, how I can draw/paint like that, and I honestly have no idea. My best answer is because I want to and I believe that I can.

Edit: If anyone is interested, I'll post a pic or two of things I've done.

One characteristic that has defined me throughout my present life is that I have always paid off any debts I have had as quickly as possible. That has been my top priority. I have not been able to relax all the time I have a loan or a debt. Usually I make sure that I don’t enter into any loans in the first place and so save up to pay outright for all my needs.

One night I had a dream-vision. It was not a dream . My awareness acted as a moveable camera studying a scene of which “I” was the leading character in question.

I was a young Chinese man who was part of the crew of a Junk. The Junk was in port, which looked like Hong Kong harbour. We were making ready to set sail and I was joking around with an old man inside the wooden ship. The door was suddenly kicked open and 3 or 4 triad members surrounded me and told me that it was my last chance to repay them for an opium debt that I had incurred. The amount was 7,000 units in some sort of silver currency. I begged them to give me extra time until the end of the voyage when I would be able to repay them; but this was the last chance. The gang tied me to a chair and the leader, using a cutthroat razor, cut seven slashes into my cheeks. After the gang left, I saw the old man looking at me and holding back tears. I found a mirror and looked. The cuts were so deep, that the skin and muscle hung down in large flaps. The old man then sewed up my face with a needle and thread but I saw that later I died from the infection of the wounds. I awoke shocked, as if an important piece of my life puzzle had been revealed.

A few months before this vision, I had owed my mother $7000 and had gone all out to repay her.

I don’t personally believe that this debt to my mother could have been the cause of this vision but instead served as a reminder of a past life and being as it concerned 7,000 units, it created the synchronicity and link to the “original sin”.

I have always felt at home in any Chinatown I have visited and view Chinese women as being different to all other women.

Space. It's always been a damn strong pull to look up. Not glance, but look. up, absorb it.

Living in a metro that's been doing nothing but boom since we got here, I've noticed a steady fading of the night's sky from not AS many as I was used to at the last address but still plenty, to realizing one night I could no longer find many of the mid-range stars (nevermind the fainter ones) Or worse yet, realized I could no longer see the Milky Way at all up there, even faintly

That seriously freaked me out viscerally.... Unnerved me even right now just to recall that Ive never NOT see that. It feels like a very serious glitch in the matrix or something.

Maybe the freckle pattern on my arm my whole life here that matches Cassiopeia's stars does mean something after all.

There are a few things for me.

I've always been obsessed with old, beautiful buildings and even dreamt of living among them many times, realer than real dreams that left me feeling homesick for a few hours after awakening which was something I've never felt for this world. So familiar that I could draw a map of it to this day. Naturally, I've gotten really into the Tartaria rabbit hole if only for the pictures of amazing, old architecture. The really weird thing is that, as a child, I had an old glasses case that I fancied held a secret word or name that would make me dizzy if I said it out loud... the word was "Tantara" so close, though you'd have to also imagine it pronounced with the Scottish accent I no longer have.

There is also a house I lived in, on a farm in Scotland, as a kid. It was square with a courtyard and barn in the middle. Really odd. Was probably an adapted stables but anyhow, it felt like some sort of energy being taught me a lot there and it always felt like "home"

The other thing is the Korean War. I had a dream where I was a secretary or student of a corrupt professor whose ideology over this war was against my ethics. Pretty ho hum stuff really, not like being a queen or cleopatra. Was obsessed with the show MASH as a kid. It felt really haunting and real to me though I got that it was comedy/drama but it gave me the same sadness I got right from birth over finding myself in a body. Probably not that unusual.

Sorry I misclicked and posted before finishing. As intriguing as the afterlife might be I find what the "before" life to be exponentially more fascinating and had considered starting a thread to mind pick everyone`s views on the thought. Since you started this one I`d enjoy responding to it by saying....

Perhaps I stabbed our Savior
In His sacred helpless side.
Yet I've called His name in blessing
When in after times I died.

Through the travail of the ages
Midst the pomp and toil of war
Have I fought and strove and perished
Countless times upon this star.

I have sinned and I have suffered
Played the hero and the knave
Fought for belly, shame or country
And for each have found a grave.

So as through a glass and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names - but always me.

So forever in the future
Shall I battle as of yore,
Dying to be born a fighter
But to die again once more.

George S Patton~

I was born in `86 on the 11th day of Nov. From childhood I was drawn to military tactics and doctrine, I wanted to know the specifications and capabilities of vehicles while others pretended to be football players or rappers. While my 4th grade class was struggling with reader rabbit and chapter books my book of choice to take to school was the pilots hand manual to the 206B Bell Jet Ranger utility helicopter or books like Forged In Steel. Whatever or whoever I was before I got into this body I do not know. But as this timeline progresses I get a better and better idea.

A questions I like to meditate on and would ask if I had authored a thread would be "Where do you/I originally come from before you/I were in this body?"

Lets go there and get deep with it, I like this thread!

“My great grandfather died just a short while before I was born.”

This is my greatest fear. We die and get immediately recycled back into this hell hole - with no break. I really hope this isn’t the case.

For me, ancient Egypt has always been an obsession. Also, world war 2 in the European front. Also have strange attraction to the 1700’s.

Interesting! For me, it’s the American Revolution, on the Continental side; ancient Sumer; and WW1 on the European front, but on the German side. I like collecting WW1 and earlier medals of Prussia/Germany and the other German states. My favorite firearms in my collection are the German ones, from both world wars.
I am not German, though.

Just a bit of addon on inquiries that are sort of "fun" to ponder, or thunker depending on how far South you is.

Why should past lives be in a linear fashion? Or even on this planet as a human?

What if you didnt ascend from a plant or animal but descended from something else?

What if reincarnating as a plant/animal is ascension in consciousness?

So many questions but no one to ask.

Mine would be ancient Egypt. Always was intrigued by the pyramids. My interest really grew after giving birth to my daughter in 2018. I binge watched so many shows and documentaries during the first couple of months of her birth.
I then got a bit turned off by it as I felt like everything we know about ancient Egypt is not really accurate.

I believe in reincarnation, I have met people who I have felt like I have met before in a previous life.
