Boody, frickin' hoo.

You're the one drawing false equivalencies in an attempt to shame.

No one should be ashamed. That's the whole point. But here we are, talking about why LGTBQ and racial disparity activists should shut the f#@% up because it's making a particular category of folks uncomfortable. That means the conversation is working.

No, its not working; it's just making ever more people feel marginalized. And marginalized people disengage.

Whew. Thankfully Ive recently begun identifying as an African American lesbian with pronouns ‘me/bubblegum/traffic lights’, so I can completely empathise with the marginalisation.

True, tomorrow I will identify as a purple, 9foot Yeti with pronouns ‘bidly-boop/💩/77’ but right now, none of you understand my plight.

So Valentine's Day ... one day ... and a day for lovers, not heterosexual lovers, just lovers. Had now morphed into Straight Pride Month?

I must have missed the memo.

Of course you can't tell the difference, because you aren't gay. Check your privilege.

Says the only person in the thread that thinks they have privilege. Take your privilege and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine like you do so many other things cause we don’t care. Matter of fact, cry us a river and see how far that gets you.

Are you mansplaining to me? Who needs to check what now?

Oh ... forgive me. I just assumed your gender. For all I know, you're on puberty blockers.

I'm not pushing any agenda here, just saying that this topic was likely authored by a hetero white person who doesn't know what oppression feels like and it shows.

*shrug*

That's a facilitating topic; what does oppression feel like?

And does every group that has faced adversity feel oppression in the same way?

Do all white hetero people lack the experience of feeling oppression or just the ones we don't agree with?

I am a white hetero person; but I am also disabled. For example I know what it feels like being turned away from a job time and again because of my disability. Would that experience count as feeling oppressed? What about when people are overly condescending when they are "helping" you, is that oppression? Or does oppression have to have a physical presence; being beaten for example.
