As monkeypox continues to surge in the United States, President Biden’s health secretary plans to declare a national health emergency, perhaps as soon as Thursday, according to a federal official familiar with the discussions.
The declaration, which many experts said was long overdue, would signal that the outbreak now represents a significant threat to Americans and set in motion a variety of measures devised to turn the tide. It would give federal agencies the power to direct money toward developing and evaluating vaccines and drugs, to access emergency funding and to hire additional workers to help manage the outbreak, which began in May.

Only 7000 cases mostly within the gay communities, but now needs to be an emergency.

Actually quarantine the gay communities, keep them in lockdown and stop them from sleeping with each other. Then give the vaccine priority in this communities.

You are right, I did not know it was one dead case, but from 7000 thousand, humm, this is an agenda, especially with midterm coming, also this will give powers to the federal government to take tax dollars at will and allocate them to whatever in the name of emergency.

Seems to me like a big overreach to keep bankrupting the taxpayer and the nation, this will add more to already overspending and runaway inflation. just like the covid relief and the waste and abuse of tax dollars, beside making trillionaires within the Pharma mafia.

I was thinking the same thing, but remember this will go on the democrat states, most Republican states will no care and will not go on lockdown for a virus that is only within certain communities.

This one the elderly in the nation will be laughing their butt offs.

I just heard this on the radio with the attestation that you can get it from "bedsheets"- so this would explain why children might get it if one or more parents is infected.

And a virus that does not kill you, maybe make you have some ugly scars but will not kill you, this no even close to AIDS, then again it will not be limited men to men exclusive as many are bisexual, plus the naughty adult male that have wives and families, the possibility of this spreading is very big.

Regardless of which demographic is most affected by this (gay or straight I could care less), isn’t this what happens when you normalize casual sex? I’m sure monogamous members of the gay community have nothing to worry about. I just feel like pop culture looks down on people (gay or straight) having normal healthy relationships.
