Mint and lemon are kind of hard ingredients to work with.
They're aromatics, and too much can make the drink bitter and sharp. The tricky part is making sure all the ingredients come through. Takes a lot of practice and sometimes even with that, the ingredients can be more potent, especially the mint. A lot of the flavor comes from the oil on the outside. Sometimes lime is just really acidic, and others it's fragrant and bright.
To answer your question, one of my favorite summer drinks is iced mint green tea. I've found a loose variety that has mint, green tea, and lemongrass. I only lightly sweeten it, like three tableapoons of raw sugar for a quart. It's one of my favorite teas ever.

Shaking helps too, opens stuff up a bit, mainly fruits though.
That sounds very interesting, I will have to try that! I'm guessing you mean hibiscus tea ? I have tried that tea and didn't like it though

Cucumber, hibiscus, a splash of lemon and sometimes an orange. Overnight in a pitcher of water. Delicious 🤤
I'm a weirdo and eat the mint leaves at the bottom of my glass I didn't use any sweetener nor notice any bitterness? I love the sour tanginess
