In my humble opinion, we are experiencing the most drastic (yet slowly advancing) change to human privacy and liberties in modern times. Nothing quite compares to having the technology to data-mine everyone on the internet and use it against them. Everything from purchases, to cars, to social media. It's all being used to further their agenda.

They don't want the people to have ANY power.
They are trying, and some might say successfully trying, to usurp the power from the people around the world. Techniques like propaganda, mass paranoia, campaigns against humanity, fully funded political ads, business collaborations, data captures from CCTV cameras around the world, you name it. It's being used for this.

The fight begins here and now.

A person must decide what is more important to them. Going with the masses, indoctrination, and propaganda, or fighting the current and swimming upstream. Using less and less technology and learning to live without.
