Now both games actually load by default on Win 10 with no problems during setup. I did both my legal CD of Unlimited and a GOG pirated version to see
if there were any differences and both install just fine however both have the map screen move WAY too fast by default. IE: You lay a road or power
lines near the edge of the map it will zoom to the other side and you have an 'interesting' layout that you didn't ask for. Same issue on
VMWARE/Virtualbox with XP SP3 installed as guest and VMWARE Guest Editions enabled and Nglide put in.
Work Around is on Windows 10 you can go to Edit Power Plan and in Advance Settings look for Maximum CPU usage: Dumb it down to around 30 percent (may
be different for your PC) and the map is actually playable! It no longer jerks to the other side of the map when you lay those things down. Makes for
a far more smooth enjoyable experience without any cheating involved to get it to run properly.
Hell on our XP Laptop it's the same issue of running way too fast and CPU Killer doesn't quite fix it without crashing it. You can ALMOST make it slow
enough to be playable: Same with Sim Copter which runs too fast and eventually crashes a few minutes of flying around with an unrecoverable error
usually after the first or 2nd emergency response.
I think whomever we got our laptop from on Amazon topped out the hard drive specs as racing games work very well even though it's not advertised as a
'gaming' laptop by any means but there is no slow down at all on racing/driving games.
