So only after major pressure was applied did the Manhattan DA decide to drop the murder charges against a man who defended himself. The incident is all on video and the assailant was a career criminal with 27 previous arrests yet the DA wanted to prosecute the man for murder.

You wonder why Latinos are abandoning the crazy DNC? Here is another good example.

Jose Alba, 61, was arrested on a second-degree murder charge and initially held on $500,000 cash bail for the July 1 slaying of Austin Simon, 35, who had attacked him.

"They’re crazy. It’s clear from the video that he’s acting in self-defense. It’s clear from all the evidence that they have thus far," railed Bibb, who now works as a criminal defense lawyer.

At the time of the incident, Simon was on probation for assault and already had at least 27 arrests under his belt, according to a source.

The chairman of one of the largest Latino advocacy organizations in the U.S. celebrated the Manhattan district attorney's decision to drop the murder charges against a New York City bodega worker who killed an assailant in self-defense Tuesday and called on New York State Democrats to examine protections for bodega workers to avoid future incidents.

National Association of Latino State Chambers of Commerce Chairman Frank Garcia said he is "very relieved" that Jose Alba, an employee of a Hamilton Heights bodega who fought back against assailant Austin Simon and killed him will not be charged. But, he said, he fears the case has opened up a "Pandora's Box" for bodega employees and owners who no longer feel protected under New York State law.

"This is not Florida, The laws really don’t protect our members," Garcia told Fox News host Shannon Bream on "The Story." "This showed us that if we didn’t come together, all the different Latino leadership groups and the Republican City Council Caucus, we would have had a member in jail for 30 years that didn’t deserve to be in jail."

They should be demanding the firing of that fat POS, D. A. Alvin "let 'em loose" Bragg. Bragg promised to fix the broken justice system in NYC, but then proved that he's the biggest part of the brokenness.

Until these radical, Soros-backed pieces of garbage stop getting appointed, the justice systems will remain broken.

I think that's because Latinos are classified as White (Hispanic). Any version of White is racist, thus treating Hispanics as Whites can't be racist. Plus, the dead guy is Black. Black is at the top of the victim hood list.

Yea, it's complicated.

I am married to a Mexican Woman and when I showed her the video and told her about the case she even said that becuase Alba was brown he was an easy target. I told her it happened in the Utopian Democratic Paradise that is NYC. She rolled her eyes and she said it doesn't matter where it happens, browns will always come last. Suffice it to say she is abandoning the democratic party, and she's a bit crazy liberal for me.... Her family is also leaving the Democrats becuase they are seeing that their conservative values are no longer aligning with the party that is supposed to be protecting minorities. Democrats did it to themselves. They literally had minorities eating from their palms, all minorities essentially, but they are really losing them by trying to focus on even smaller minorities and claiming everything is racist.

You cannot rule a country based on feelings and trying not to hurt anyone's feelings. There is a rule of law, and it should be obeyed. It's not perfect, but it's better than what the democrats are pushing on us.

Liberals only idolize 'heroes' like George Floyd.

If a gun is used illegally by a thug, he becomes their idol; if it's used by a responsible gun owner to save untold numbers of lives, he should be charged with murder because he was in a 'gun free' zone.
