A just-discovered memo from Attorney General Merrick Garland, to Prosecutors and employees across the Department of Justice, is driving Liberals up the wall.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow revealed on Monday a Justice Department memo reaffirming a Trump-era order placing restrictions on investigations into candidates in an election year.

The "Election Year Sensitivities" memo to staff, signed by Attorney General Merrick Garland and dated May 25, was disclosed amid a heated MSNBC debate over whether federal prosecutors will seek charges against former President Donald Trump, in relation to the Capitol riot and efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
More at: www.washingtonexaminer.com...

Democrats are concerned that Donald Trump might declare early (like ASAP) that he's running for President again, as a candidate for the November 2024 election. Once he declares, the former President is "shielded" by the directives within Garland's 5.25.2022 memo.

Actually, it's more like the Media, Democrat pundits, and Anti-Trump Republicans, are all panicking. They want Trump indicted before he declares his candidacy! (A convicted felon cannot run for President. A convicted felon's endorsement is not wanted by political candidates.)

However, the Department of Justice (FBI) said last year they don't have evidence that President Trump committed any crimes.

The Democrat-led Jan 6th Congressional Commission are presently dragging their feet with recommending to the DOJ that Donald Trump be indicted for inciting a riot...or whatever they think he did that's criminal, pertaining to the Jan 6, 2021 protest of Biden's alleged steal of the White House.

Now comes AG Garland stating that if Trump becomes a Presidential Candidate, he's pretty much off the hook. Even the rabid Anti-Trump District Attorney who has convened a grand jury in Atlanta GA to "Get Trump!", would not be able to frame him with a fabricated crime.

Expect to hear a lot more on this subject as news of the AG Merrick Garland memo spreads.

Well, those that pulled off the 2020 win for the potato have had TWO years of uninterrupted time to analyze and refine their tactics.

Sorry, all of this doesn't mean squat until we ACTUALLY fix our voting vulnerabilities.

Conversations like this are pathetic in light of such corruption and blatant lawlessness.

But whatever, right?

You can be sure there are people staying up all night trying to figure out a FEDERAL crime to officially pin on Trump, before he announces his candidacy for President.

Trump knows this, which is why he keeps teasing Democrats by saying he might have a big announcement soon, LOL.

Significant Election Integrity Enhancements are being implemented across several key states with Republican legislatures. They don't make the national news, but if you're visiting that state and turn on the TV, you see how Democrats are resisting them.

See the "State Enactments" section at: www.ncsl.org...

In states with liberals in charge from top-to-bottom, like NY, CA, IL, WA, etc., the Election rules changes make cheating EASIER.

FWIW those voting vulnerabilities have to be addressed at the state level as much as anywhere else. So that's pretty much up to each state. I think Ballotpedia has a page that shows all the election laws that have changed in each state since 2020.

I don't know what all the impatience is over, it all takes time, no doubt that back channel deals are going down just as DC has always operated.

It took a long time before Nixon quit, and that was with hostile media and intense pressure from the Democrats. We have none of that in this situation

Well, from where we were at, to where we are now, everything that's going on is a DIRECT result of that massive voter fraud. I'd feel stupid if I were to 'get over it' and conduct myself as if what's happening in our country can be fixed by the same apparatus that got us into this mess. Anyone else gotten over it?

I get the psychology about how most people default to apathy when faced with an insurmountable set of problems. It's easier, less intrusive and practically painless.

If we know better, why conduct ourselves as if we don't? 🤷🏾‍♂️

"Impatience"??

Ummm look around. We are being systematically destroyed. Is that not apparent to you yet???

I'm not picky a fight, I'm just saying that's a bit cavalier for you to say.

But how are democrats to hold corrupt investigations into people that they dont like? This is so unfair. Republicans are supposed to play by the rules not democrats !

The timing seems awfully suspicious. The media-surprisingly- has been doing an awful lot of liberal discrediting lately.

It's beginning to feel like another setup; now I want to know what's behind the political red push. Has a consensus been reached behind the scenes to pass the torch to Republicans for a bit?

I feel like we're all being kicked around like a football, from one goal line to the next.

Nothing new.. The DOJ has had this policy in place for 40+ years and it is designed to prevent intentional interference in an election.

Oct. 7, 2020 -DOJ Frees Federal Prosecutors to Take Steps That Could Interfere With Elections, Weakening Long-standing Policy

In an internal announcement, the Justice Department created an exception to a decadeslong policy meant to prevent prosecutors from taking overt investigative steps that might affect the outcome of the vote.

The Department of Justice has weakened its long-standing prohibition against interfering in elections, according to two department officials.

Avoiding election interference is the overarching principle of DOJ policy on voting-related crimes. In place since at least 1980, the policy generally bars prosecutors not only from making any announcement about ongoing investigations close to an election but also from taking public steps — such as an arrest or a raid — before a vote is finalized because the publicity could tip the balance of a race.

But according to an email sent Friday by an official in the Public Integrity Section in Washington, now if a U.S. attorney’s office suspects election fraud that involves postal workers or military employees, federal investigators will be allowed to take public investigative steps before the polls close, even if those actions risk affecting the outcome of the election.

What is interesting is Biden's DOJ has put in place the old policy, protecting people from committing election fraud during an election. Convenient considering how Biden stole the election using voter fraud.

As always, thank-you for your experience-based explanation!

MSNBC is practically ignoring all other news to push hard for Trump's indictment before he can declare his 2024 candidacy. They're pushing so hard, it's almost funny hearing/watching the fanatics on that network.

An indictment of Donald Trump would expose a tremendous amount of high-level cheating for Joe Biden in 2020 during his trial.

Breaking News 7.26.2022

For example, U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley is in touch with DOJ "Whistleblowers"..

"Highly credible" whistleblowers have come forward to a senior Senate Republican alleging a widespread effort within the FBI to downplay or discredit negative information about President Biden's son, Hunter Biden, according to letters reviewed by CBS News.

"The information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI's receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI's false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation," GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley wrote FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland on July 25. "The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter."

There is NO WAY a man who couldn't fill a gymnasium garnered more LEGAL votes in 2020 than Barack Obama did in 2008 or 2012. NO --- WAY!

So, it's now legal to register as a Democrat, go on a killing spree, and after election time, go back to normal life. Interesting.

That's what this messaging says to me. If a person commits a crime, regardless of who they are, they should be charged. This memo is flat out saying that anyone running for office is now a protected class of person. Nice subversion of the Constitution.

That's because even the democrats are fed up with democrats and every progressive out there can be found in the streets screaming at the sky. There might be hundreds of thousands of them, or a few million, but that's all. Those alt-left states are realizing they'll have to cheat so a repeat of the 1984 Presidential Election doesn't happen.

But the smarter/wiser Democrats in those states are switching over to Republican, ahead of the Mid-Terms this year. At last report, approximately 2 million have done so in swing states.

yeah but the added problem is the fact Hunter Biden is not running for office. So in other words the memo is saying they cant go after anyone related to Democrats.

ah but here is the funny thing. PROVING he did anything will be the issue. because whats that? DISCOVERY. They will investigate him but they will likely not prosecute him ESPECIALLY if the Rs take back the senate and house in november.
HE said earlier that he would investigate but told those under him no prosecutions of politicians. when he does throw this in his face, and catch him in a lie.
The other reason they give is the electors issue. implying trump introduced false electors. when HE himself did not do. Usually in this country we do not prosecute people who did not commit a crime and was just talking about it with others. no electors were seated who were bad.
