We're doing great here. I just tried to make a homemade pizza, but the crust was soggy, and it was more like lasagna. But it tasted good.

I look forward to seeing more pics of your bike trips.

I would , if I didn't spend half my time worrying about whether or not we'll have a future worth living.
With the WEF/Gates/Soros etc actively pushing their agenda and aiming for the 'great reset'.

I wish I could bury my head in the sand, must be nice.

While it is good to be aware of such potentialities, it is important that we can remain "present" and grounded within our own lives and hobbies.

Remember, the fear, paranoia, anxiety we feel from these potentials is what they want.

Finding peace and living well despite the circumstances is the ultimate win.

My life has a few too many moving parts at the moment.

My mom did her cancer surgery, and that's the final step into the watching/waiting period to see if the treatment really worked as well as it appears to have. She did really well.

My mother-in-law who was battling cancer at almost the exact same time passed away early Thursday morning. My husband flew out of Tennessee for the funeral, but son and I stayed back. Too much money.

My car has been having trouble. It's still under original warranty which is both good and bad. Good because any major issues are being fixed, bad because it's practically new - too new for these issues. It blew out its catalytic right before we went on vacation and had that done while we were gone (under warranty). I suspect there is something misfiring in the engine that maybe caused that. Periodically, it has started bucking, surging, sputtering. We've had the transmission checked, and we've had it in to the dealer a few times. They can't reproduce the issue and the computer has no error codes. It stalled outright on my husband, went into limp mode and painted the dash screen with a big ENGINE MALFUNCTION warning. He got it home, turned it off, arranged for tow, and the by the time the truck arrived, it ran sweet as you please, no warning, no check engine, and no errors in the system. The dealership even had the time-stamped picture my husband took to go back into the computer memory on the car ... nothing.

I can't even reproduce the issue all the time. When it is in the mood to misbehave, the most reliable way to get it to reproduce is to have it around 1,000rpm and give it gas going uphill. Don't ask me why, but if it's having problems off and on that day, then using those conditions can almost always trigger it.

But ...

Because my car is iffy at the moment, we're holding money in reserve against possible repairs and we don't dare take off driving it anywhere far away. Why we didn't all go to the funeral.

Add to that the competition season starts on the 20th next month, and I have 4 forms to get into shape: traditional, weapon, and creative and creative weapon. I have the first two mostly memorized and ready to start polishing, but I have zero clues what to even begin to do with the other two. I've been too busy to worry about them.

Then we're short-handed at work because we had a coworker make some bone-headed mistakes and get fired. Oi!

I made homemade pizza yesterday. Hawaiian style, with Hawaiian BBQ sauce, Fresh pineapple, Ham, Sweet red Bell pepper, Red onion, Melty mozzarella and fresh chopped cilantro just before serving. It came out wonderful with a crunchy crust. I bake the crust for 8 minutes on a oiled cookie sheet until it is browned before adding toppings and baking it until it is finished. Also dry any wet ingredients first.

That is so mentally draining. I know, because I used to do the same. I yoked up to God, His yoke is easy. I leave all the worry to Him. And he takes care of everything, and carries the weight, so I can enjoy life.

PS I still owe you a hugg. I havnt forgotten

Yes Im following you, but Im way behind. Im up to page 9.

Im also busy cycling California. We have Islands, and 1000 miles of waterways to the west of me. Im between San Francisco, and Sacramento. Here is from the other day out on one of the islands:

Ive also been doing a lot of cooking. Tonight is wild Halibut, overnighted from Alaska, sauteed in browned european butter, and served with Tartar sauce. A beautiful tasty Caesar salad on the side, topped with imported Italian shaved parmesan, and garlic butter croutons.

I know. I try, it's hard though, I'm well aware these psychopaths want us to feel worried/stressed, it's amusement to them.

I've been fighting wasps all day with soapy water.
They keep invading my kiddie pool, umbrella, mister hose setup.
A real buzz kill.

I've been seeing your pictures whenever you post at discord.

How far north are you going? I prefer the cold myself.

That seems like it was tasty. Cooking the crust first is a good idea. Thanks for some sound advice.

Life is good! Played softball for the first time in 22 or more years on Sunday and my body's still screaming at me. I went to some hot spring caves tonight to treat the soreness.

Family is mostly healthy (though sadly one very badly off close relative has been in the hospital over a month) and enjoying the summer; garden is popping off and I have plenty of great books to read!
Cycling around sounds good too.
ETA nice picnic w/ my husband this week (we saw the full moon rise too-amazing)

Ever since I found this recipe for dough I haven't looked anywhere else. It's a solid crust. The 00 flour is definitely needed, and if you could rest it in the refrigerator overnight even better.
cooking.nytimes.com...
Agreed about precooking the dough.

My problem is that I can't eat as much gluten as I used to. My old pizza dough recipe used semolina flour. I was experimenting with buckwheat flour this time.

I moved from New York state to Florida 2 years ago, which afforded me the luxury to retire from working as a commercial electrician and survive on just playing guitar for a living.
I'm pretty happy with that decision.
