In the UK we have warnings about temperatures exceeding 30⁰C and the fact that your house will explode, travel will be impossible, you'll spontaneously combust due to the excessive heat!

Amen. I've always hated that stuff, and it's been over 40 years.

The last two years have done it for me. I just constantly feel empty and hopeless.
There's certainly nothing left to look forward to , as there's no future.
I might start a thread for optimistic posts, things that give hope as we all need it at this point
You should feel free to PM me anytime you need it , I will always respond

Absolutely. Totally relate, especially having kids. One of my sons got the shots so he could go to the pub and he was the more aware of the bunch, right down to knowing about the reset and all.
I even called a crisis line at the beginning of the "pandemic" as I felt that constant empty and hopeless feeling you mentioned. After explaining my position on it, the person on the other line went silent a few very long seconds, then hung up on me. Nice! What was I thinking? Because they are so "all in it together" they are so far removed they don't know what to say or do. My crisis was not their crisis, end of caring.
I've found a lot of hope in being on ATS simply because it's ok to discuss it all here. It's not exactly uplifting but at least it isn't censored. Some of your posts here have helped me because of you honesty on how it's affecting life and emotions.
If our paths led here, to this conversation it's because we can handle it. Unpleasant yes, but our curiosity brings light to the dark. It won't feel good but it is the right thing to do.

38C forecast for my area on Monday and Tuesday and I work outdoors , there's a chance roads could start to melt and no doubt rails will buckle so it could get tricky out there , it's going to be a tough couple of days.
Roads could to start to melt? At 38? What am I missing here?
