No, you’re wrong.

Trump was not impeached because he was unpopular (which he was) or because he took executive actions which liberals disliked (which he did) or because he was massively dishonest in his everyday actions (which he was). None of those are impeachable offenses. He was impeached the first time because he corruptly attempted to use his position as POTUS to get a foreign power to help him in the upcoming election. He was impeached the second time for fomenting an armed mob to go to the Capitol and interfere with the peaceful transfer of power to the incoming administration. Both of those actions were attempts to use his position of power to maintain his position of power. It’s what tin horn dictators in banana republics do all the time, but which no previous POTUS has attempted.

The POTUS takes an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution and to see that the laws are faithfully executed. That’s it. That’s the main job description of the POTUS—follow the written rules. Trump has never been able to follow the rules his entire adult life. When you’re a private citizen, you can get away to some extent with not following the rules—especially if you’re rich enough to hire an army of lawyers. When you’re the POTUS, you can be fired for not following through on your oath of office. That’s what he was impeached for.

Which sadly is how we got here. Some of both sides cannot agree on too many things on a good day. Just as George Washington predicted, the party system in politics leads to loyalty to something other than the COTUS. It is a fact in observation that one cannot serve two masters.

Because democrats would have to admit they made a mistake if they impeached the fool. No democrat is capable of such honesty, so it won't happen. Unless they have an even worse plan for the next in line - which is actually a possibility.

The dems started impeachment talk before Trump was even sworn in. It took them three years to find a reason to do it. The phone call in question only suggested the possibility of crimes similar to what biden has already bragged about on television. The double standard here is incredible.

Why did they Impeach Trump? I know it wasn't for anything he did wrong. Biden is doing everything wrong, why not impeach him? This is called a double standard in my book. The evidence is there for all to see. As far as the Dems are concerned, "The King has no clothes".

I guess they cannot put someone who is mentally incompetent on trial in this country. I doubt if anyone could say that Biden is mentally competent so he will have to stay in office till the next election.

President Biden is sending out ever more direct "hints" that he wants to be removed from office.

For instance, yesterday Biden said in Israel that the Holocaust was to be "Honored".

Things he says which are too extreme to be accepted by most people, are explained away as "gaffs" or "mis-Speakes".

It's going to be really hard on a lot of Democrats when they learn Biden was dead serious.
