Most Democrats want someone other than Biden to run for president in 2024 — but he could still beat Trump, poll says.

Isn't that the thinking that led us to have Joey as President in the first place?

I don't think Trump should run, I think eventually he will support DeSantis but I have a hard time thinking he loses to Biden, not because Trump is fantastic but holy hell, Biden is declining rapidly, what about Kamala's chances? I can see Biden bowing out.

www.cnbc.com...

Just 26% of Democrats said they would prefer President Joe Biden to be their party's candidate in the 2024 election, and 64% want someone else heading the ticket, a new poll found.
Biden's age and job performance were the top reasons cited by Democrats why they wanted a candidate other than Biden to be the party nominee, The New York Times/Siena College poll found.
Just 13% of voters of all kinds say the United States is "on the right track," while 77% said it was "headed in the wrong direction."
Biden would likely defeat former President Donald Trump again if the election were held today, the survey suggested, with 44% of voters selecting Biden, compared to 41% for the Republican he beat in 2020.

I personally don't want either one to run. They are both too old. Too many risks. If I had to pick one, at this point in time, I would go with President Trump.

Since around 1/3 of US voters align with the Democratic party, according to wikipedia.. and 26% of Democrats said they prefer Biden as their candidate, this means that the support from the Democratic affiliate members is only 1/12th of US American voter base, that prefer Joe Biden as president for the next election.

So with these numbers, if Biden wins next time, it's the independent and republicans fault. Because they would have to provide the momentum.

This election would be a disaster for Biden, if he ran.

I think it will be DeSantis vs. Newsome. Both parties will push to get someone who doesn't wear an adult diaper.

Yeah, $1.90 a gallon, record low unemployment, world peace and stability.....I guess I would reluctantly take Trump too....as much as I hate cheap gas, American jobs, and respect on the world stage....
But then again there is the way Joe got us out of Afghanistan...and then there is all the oil Joes selling to China so Hunter can smoke more crack off his dead brother’s wife’s ass.....that’s pretty cool and all....

I don’t know....Trump or Biden....flip a coin I guess.

Not that I disagree it makes more sense than Biden or Harris, but how do they reconcile white bread male Gruesome Newsome to the vocal feminist and minorities

I could never vote for Donald Trump.

So, if you nominate Trump, whoever the Dem is, they have my vote. That includes Joe Biden, or heaven forbid, Harris.

I dislike Biden. He wasn't my first, second, third, fourth, or fifth choice last time. BUT, he wasn't Trump. And I hate to say it, but that's all it takes.

If the Republican Party were to nominate a moderate next time, they would win hands down. I would vote for that Republican. BUT, they won't. It'll be someone who has to believe in a fraudulent election (unless they win that is), and all the partisan "pedo, evil, grooming, indoctrinating," BS. I can't vote for that type of Republican either. You know the ones. Use guns in their ads. Threaten the other Party with violence. Like that disgusting Jerone Davison.

I started my life out always voting a straight Republican ticket. Usually when you're young, you tend to vote Dem. Why Republican? They were the law-and-order Party. Low deficits, low debt. Good with the vets, and the military. And they believed in democracy, the peaceful transfer of power, in working across the aisle, in helping small businesses. Low taxes for EVERYONE, not just the rich. The separation of Church and State. And the right to PRIVACY. Sane gun laws. And lots more that I agreed with.

I still vote Republican locally. And I live in CT. Love my mayor. She's done a good job and deserves to be re-elected. But nationally, I'll be voting straight ticket Dems, until the Republican Party comes back to reality.

I think the Dems might not nominate Biden were he to run again. I don't think Biden himself will run again, but he's not going to say so until 2023. He's old and he is not at the top of his game to put it mildly. Time to get someone who has a pulse. MOST OF US DON'T LIKE BIDEN EITHER. BUT UNDERSTAND THIS. IF YOU NOMINATE TRUMP OR HIS CLONE, I CAN NOT VOTE FOR THEM. NOMINATE SOMEONE SANE. MODERATE. AND WHO STILL STANDS FOR THOSE THINGS I SPOKE OF EARLIER IN THIS COMMENT. I'D LOVE TO VOTE FOR THEM.

With all that being said, Do You Even Think We'll Have A 2024 election? I have my doubts.

Trump will be 78 years old in 2024; current average life expectancy in the US for males is 71.2 years. IF Trump's health holds out and IF he were to get the nomination, you can bet the DNC would have a much younger candidate and Trumps' age would be a main campaign point.

Nobody using common sense would vote for Trump to become POTUS; they'd be voting for his VP, knowing there's a very high probability that's who would be leading the country.

So basically as long as you protect me from the mean man and give me a few benefits and some cash I'll sell my vote

A far leftist/Liberal poll of course liberal believe their own polling.

77% said it was "headed in the wrong direction."

Whatever its Hillary or someone else with the same agenda the country will be heading further in that direction.

If you were looking for a moderate to run for the GOP who would it be? There really are none who could win a National I think.
