BOTW tutorial deathbox zone around Plateau?

Do you think one of the delays was to put the death zone in when the game was first announced and delayed I think twice?

In the Great Plateau there are two barriers that prevent you from leaving without the glider: A fog zone that will spawn you back to the top no matter what and a death zone around a certain radius from the Great Plateau itself. As you can see you cannot get to even the nearest stable up on the upper left as it's outside of the allowable zone before you spawn out even on a horse!.

To do this trick: is to aim for Lake Hylia and use magensis and stasis on a door then launch yourself off the Plateau and give the old man the middle finger. You can do this with proper stamina and aim to go 'sailing' across.

As usual you didn't read my question. Why do people never read past the title these days? 🤬😡🤮. My question is if you think the game was delayed on purpose to add this hurdle due to too many beta testers skipping the tutorial outright?
