Prime Minister Abe was shot at a speech in Nara, Japan about 2 hours ago.
Shot to the chest with a double barrel shotgun.

My relatives live there...he has reportedly flatlined.

Nara is a beautiful place. l was cycling a tour of Japan and stayed 4 days in Nara.

He was very tough on the Yakuza. He went after them from Fukuoka, Yamaguchi (　Yamaguchigumi )All the way to ｃlean up the slease in Tokyo.
I actually saw the Yamaguchigumi gangs in my town here. They owmed the streetd years ago.

At first, every time I saw a NATO leader walking the streets of Ukraine with Zelenskyy, I feared for their safety.

The Press has hell to pay. Apparently, they wore down Abe's health to the point where he was forced to retire.

When I lived there for 5 years the Yakuza were more white-collar crime types, not so much violence, just perceived violence.

supposedly it was a disgruntled JDF member with a home made boom stick ,no details as to motive yet but for japan this is waaay out of the standard

from what my buddy on fb says for what it is worth it was an electrically ignited black powder shotgun,shells are very hard to come by in japan and the shooter was former navy
