On a technical note; She's not the Queen Mother. Her mother was the Queen Mother.

Here they are walking into a funeral service, Queen in front;

FWIW as far as the English monarchy goes or any monarchy for that matter.

I'm a bit like Patrice ONeal feels about an earthquake in China.

That's your privilege, but I was just getting the terminology right. I have teachers' blood in me.
That confusion seems to be common in America (I heard it once from a Goldie Hawn character), so the explanation also serves for any other American readers on the thread.

Just think....
A bunch of farmers got together and defeated the greatest military of the day and overthrew an oppressive government that was imposed on them .
They had finally got to the breaking point .

Not trying to be argumentative just enjoying the topic...

We have a ridiculous analog here in America too, it's called the Kardashians.

I think I see the problem where I considered that free speech, which you consider a privilege, is talking unfavorably about the Queen a privilege?

We can take satisfaction that King George III got so annoyed with us that he decided to wash his hands of us unwashed heathen.

The '4th of July' is My favorite holiday for sure .

It's the day that 'Free Masons' should be celebrated , There would be no USA with out the Intelligence and Fraternal Bond of ' Free Masons' and yet most kids graduate High School with out having a clue what ' Free Masonry ' is .

It is sewn into the very fabric of this Country , READ A BOOK !! .

Happy 4th

How's the Freemason's liking the country now?

Come to Florida!
We've been living on stolen oranges from our snowbird neighbors' trees.

If you ask really really nicely DB , The queen of England will take you back to her bosom [ the smell of wee is gone honest ] and princess Megan will be stood down

I've offered to write an apology and even suggested a fruit basket. One of the nice ones.

With strawberries.

Let's get it right this time, ok? Memorize this with me, it's easy:

Strawberries , not Dingleberries. Removing you from oubliettes isn't simple, fast, OR fun.

Hope you and the family have a great 4th., DB.

Happy 4th. to all members of our ATS family.

And, to the ones in England, whose asses we kicked 246 years ago...
...you guys can have it back now.

Sorry, we broke it.

This is exactly why we can't have nice things.

I think everyone up to yet has missed your first sentence of your post. NEW HOUSE.
That means HOUSEWARMING PARTY. Please send my invite soon because at the moment I am bending a coil to heat my hot tub and this could be used to still some liquid. This saves on buying any alcohol. Hoping my invite comes soon.

I'm a retired carpenter so I could pull in a few little jobs for you. Eeeerrr, for a small fee.

Is he the one who had the speech problem that we also had to save from the Germans?

As an expert on British royalty, I can say that you're thinking of Henry the 8th.
