But it’s obvious that you do care. I love how you use your personal interpretation of scripture that you openly state you don’t believe in, to try and drive a wedge in the Christian way of thinking.

What is it that you are trying to accomplish here? Is it that you dislike Christianity so much that you feel obligated to attack the manner in which someone prays? Using the words of Christ to belittle Christians is a fools errand.

I personally think that you, and others like you, enjoy baiting people you consider a “soft target”. That’s exactly how you perceive us. After all is said and done, all you do is strengthen our faith.

Enjoy yourself while you can, you will eventually have to account for your actions. And it won’t be too long in coming.

James 4:12
Verse Concepts
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?

Source: bible.knowing-jesus.com...
Im not a Christian . Further more , the Coach is a self identified Christian who obviously has never read the book of Matthew .
Your bible verse of “ who are we to judge “ only applies to those who believe that book to be infallible & divine by god’s direction.
It would be the same as me convicting you of a violation according to Chinese laws .. , unless you live under a law , it does not pertain to you .
I want you to think before you go on the attack .

LOL, not on the attack at all. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of using bible verses to condemn praying, and then finding you aren't a Christian, and don't believe in the divinity of the Bible puts a bit of icing on that cake. See, if you use the Bible to make your point, you open yourself up to the other passages in the book. And while "judge not, lest ye be judged yourself", isn't really a quote from the bible, the one I listed kind of says the same thing.

I don't grasp how this man's prayers bother you, but that's something you will have to live with. It seems much like a SJW move, but where would the world be without Nancys worrying about what that guy is doing and how offended someone must be because of it. Have a great day and God Bless.
How can you even think your argument passes any logic .
Im not Christian, but the coach is & Christians follow the bible correct ? So Im in full right to judge someone who is convicted by their faith & a book for not following it’s tenants .
If your neighbor drives a Chevrolet & that vehicle’s manual calls for a certain type of fuel different from what your neighbor uses in it , is that stupid ?
No it is not stupid if your neighbor believes in other fuels , but it is hypocritical of your neighbor to claim they are a dyed in the wool Chevroletist , use a different fuel than called for & demanding that you have to put up with their stalled vehicle in your driveway, because of their stupidity.
When you get mad about their car not running & making you angry … the neighbor says he has a right to be a fool , and tells you that you have no faith in the Chevy manual.
Were did your logic center come from ?
You are the one with a burden of proof & ill ask you personally… How can you call yourself a Christian as the coach does & do the complete opposite of Matthew 6: 5-8 in public knowingly .
I find it hard that the coach is unfamiliar with the very first gospel of the New Testament.
It is not as if that Jesus teaching came from the book of Ecclesiastes that is confusing due to all 3 persons being used to write it .. 1st , 2nd & 3rd .
Matthew chapter 6 is extremely simple to understand in all translations including the greek koine .
So I want you to unpack Matthew 6: 5-8 and tell me how Jesus meant something other than is transcribed.

I can save you a bunch of time by letting you know that all of theology & commentary on the bible can differ a bit , but in over 25 years of Patristic studies & hundreds of books on scripture & comparative religion, Ive never heard anyone say that Jesus meant the opposite of his teaching on public prayer from Matthew 6: 5-8 .

Go ahead and try to talk circles around this , but I already reject your theory on this passage .
It’s ok to be a Christian & know little about your bible. Especially if you are evangelical .
Just admit that what that coach does in public with his praying is in stark contrast to the bible .

If you continue to argue your point , you are just showing desperation to justify the coaches hypocrisy.

It is also ok to know that a non Christian occultist knows your bible better than you .

I think you are confused. The coach and his prayer don't offend me, don't hurt my feelz, and don't require my approval or condemnation. He may believe something totally different than the Bible being followed 100%. As a person who has lived on this earth for a while, and experienced a few things, I have opinions that don't flow totally with the Bible, yet I believe in God and consider myself a Christian. But I don't need your validation to my beliefs, anymore than the Coach does.

It's obvious this offends you, and loads up that sand in your vajayjay. Maybe you could make a sign and protest this man's house or something equally as ignorant. Either way, we all understand you are angry that this man prayed in public and the SCOTUS affirmed his right to do so. Jesus would not be angry at this man, he would love him, just as he loves you. Why not be more like Jesus?

I care , because this rube of coach is acting as if he is a Christian martyr & doing gods will , when the moron can’t even comprehend simple teachings that Jesus taught that state what the coach is doing is wrong according to the very bible the coach is hiding behind .
He did not need to tell anyone why he was kneeling outside of a personal decision & he did not need to be rambling prayers & genuflecting in public as Jesus said was a no no .
I can’t think for you , but if you read anything I said , or the passage from Matthew , you may stand a chance debating with me on this matter .
Not all who wander are lost , but all the lost do wander my friend.

I could careless if he prays or not , but he does not get to hide behind Christianity as a hero when his actions are opposite of Jesus’s teachings.
You evangelicals are all the same .
If you want to play Christian, at least worship in a way that is traditional to the ancient Church Fathers , you know the ones closest in history to the actual Jesus movement… but Im sure you got it all figured out . Lol
Jesus said to be perfect as his Father is perfect, so I suggest you follow everything in your bible to a T ,
Wide is the path that leads to destruction & many are on it and narrow is the path that leads to salvation & few are on it .
So let me get this straight, you call yourself Christian, but pick & choose what you agree with in the bible ?
Ive been through the bible up & down from personal study to academic bouts for 30 plus years & Im very far from a young person today , but in no part of the bible does it say that you can disbelieve parts of it.
As a matter of fact Jesus taught that the old testament ( the law ) was decisive & binding .
So when Jesus declared that he was fulfillment of the law .. Were does that sit with your ideas of things you disagree with in the bible ?
Or are you ready to admit that Jesus was gone for over 300 years before one single bible was transcribed, yet we have the book of Matthew that is universally agreed upon to be written only 70-90 years after Jesus was crucified & then shortly after resurrected & then disappeared into heaven .
So how is the oldest book of the New Testament Matthew not easily accepted as being the most valid in what Jesus taught for you to understand that the coach is a hypocrite & a fool . That is what this thread is about .
In regards to sand in a vjjayjay .. grow up ok .
You obviously know little about your faith & that is ok.
What if the quarterback of that high school was Muslim & required all his football games he plays in go on an hour pause for evening call to prayer ?
Would you be screaming for the SCOTUS to defend him ? Doubtful you would.
I have to leave for Skeet league in a bit & I hope you stop trembling in anger ok .
Have a grand evening.. nite nite neophyte

Matthew 18:20
Says nothing about genuflecting & theatrical mechanics . Jesus was telling you that when you are in the presence of another human being you are seeing God , because we all come from god .
Your logic states that solo prayer does not draw god’s attention, but only when two or more are gathered ?
Who taught you your theology, because it is heavily flawed . Im sure you are sola scriptura lol

Nope . try again .

Your a neo evangelical & that is strange to me , but you are free to makeup any theology you like .. you are not free from taking criticism of it when you make it public in all it’s hole filled theories.

Read Matthew 6: 5-8 , then look in the mirror & tell yourself the coach is a soft target by me or anyone else . I did not kneel on a football field & make a scene in prayer . That coach wanted to make a scene by doing the opposite of what your Jesus taught you in your Christian bible from the first gospel of Matthew .
Now go on and git … Were do you people come from ?

Now I understand you. You invite Christians to respond to a post so you can trash their values. Must be great fun for you.

You never intended honest discussion, did you? You despise the fact that we have found something that you, with all your esoteric scholarship have not. You try to come at us anyway you can, even attempting to use the words of our beloved savior against our beliefs in him.

The same book you attempt to use against us is full of warnings against people like you. It has all been foretold.

I have never heard of any biblical scholar who would agree with your understanding of the passages you quote. Perhaps you can point to a few.

It would seem to me, that you have some type of grievance with God and his people, and that you think you found a chink in the armor. This couldn’t be further from the truth. No one cares how you interpret the Bible you don’t believe in. There are many more reliable sources than you.

Now it’s time for my questions. Why are you personally intent on calling out someone’s religious beliefs? What is your agenda here. What exactly are you trying to prove?

Response from MeatHookReality:
So you are saying there are no biblical scholars that translates Matthew 6: 5-8 as it is stated ? Do you think doing the opposite of what Jesus taught in Matthew as your Christian values ? If yes then you bet I have issue with hypocrites. Tell us all what Matthew 6: 5-8 is really saying. It must be a new & hidden translation that only you understand. Did god personally tell you in a dream that Matthew 6: 5-8 is opposite In it’s words ?
You Christians really are all over the place & I feel bad that your faith is so strong that you disagree with Jesus’s teachings. Matthew 6: 5-8 is very simple to understand.
The real issue is that this website is a filled with Christians with all kinds of broken theology & thoughts, and you seldom get called on the rug about the absurdity of it .
Im the right one here in this context . Your want to be right does not change the bible or reality..
Welcome to meat hook reality .
You got the floor Saint Topcraft explain Matthew 6 to me the lost wicked man , am I not the type Jesus said to help the most or are you clutching your pearls ?
Im far far from your enemy.. Im real accountability, now stand & deliver with your theory on Matthew 6: 5-8 … I can’t wait & bless your endeavor.
Do you know how insane you sound ? I can’t think for you . Good luck

There is nothing that I could tell you that would satisfy you. I suggest you find yourself a Catholic Church and question the pastor, he would know much more than I do. I’ve already found my answers.

Yes, it’s obvious that you are the type that needs help the most, and I will pray for you. I don’t see you as wicked person, I see you as being misled. Most likely by some event in your life and your own mind. I’m not angry with you for anything you are saying about me either. Talking with your type saddens me more than anything else. Your heart is locked.

It’s not my place to feed your superior attitude either. I’m open to discourse, but not abuse. Several in this post seem to have disengaged with you because of your attitude, I urge them not to.

I’m not an evangelist, believe what you want. We will all face judgement eventually. I’m ready, how about you?

My walk with God is extremely different than yours & are you surprised that people get upset with my logic here on a alt-right conspiracy Q website?
Ive know Jesus my whole life & believe 100% in a Trinitarian God Amun above all Ancient of Days .
Jesus was the original secret society founder & taught in secrets , riddles & parables.
I don’t attain any lineage to Jesus from Yahweh & find the whole Old Testament to be a story of a evil blood debt god who killed millions , allows interest on debts, charges people for grace & is headed by evil Jewish temple creeps .
Jesus stood outside of the temple & taught uneducated people who were outcasts in the Jewish & Roman world .
Jesus came to tell us all we are not separated from God , but we are also not the uncreated as the Father is .
I have zero use for the apostate Paul just as Jesus’s brother James was at odds with Paul in the bible .
Jesus was born a Jew & came as the living law to dethrone the Jewish god Yahweh & do away with sacrifice , interest & blood debts .
The Jesus movement was never intended for anyone, but the Jewish people who Jesus came to teach the free blessing of the tree of life .
Im a gnostic who is heavily involved in mystical worship of Jesus that began in Egypt long before Christ was born man .
All the miracles etc … are just fluff … Jesus is real, but it takes hard work & knowledge to find the truth .
Paul created a faith base ministry that has nothing to do with the true Jesus’s teachings.
95% of Christians believe that it is faith & the acceptance of Jesus that saves you . Work creates faith which gives way to confidence. Faith never creates genuine work … Just like the football coach .
So do you believe that everyone who asked Jesus into their lives through faith are saved , or are you a check your pulse all the time Christian who thinks you may lose your salvation if you are not careful ?
Im neither … The story of Jesus starts in Egypt then it became Hellenized , then Jewish & finally Rome decided 300 plus years after Christos died for teaching the truth , before even one bible existed in print . No one even knew what the complete bible said in any numbers until Gutenburg’s press inbthe 1400s . The bible is one extremely messy book and littered with contradictions, omissions & add ons.
The real Christ can only be found through initiation.
These are my knowledge based findings & I still think the football coach is a fool .
Im a Rosicrucian by fun , wizard by knowledge & bound by Love & Light through Jesus & the mystery of the Trinity of the Father Son & Holy Spirit.
I pay no attention to virgin births or water walking nor Noah’s ark , because none of that psychbable is required to know God . The Bible has truths & lies in it and few ever find the hidden path , but many will claim Jesus , but be found on a path that many are in to darkness. Billions of people have called Jesus their lord & savior through faith , does that sound like inly a few find the true path to you ?
Matthew 7 read the whole chapter . Few are in the narrow path .
Im not saying Im on the narrow path Im telling you I crossed the Void and faced the fear of my own death .
Death is the grand advisor . I will tell you that any religion based on belief of the bible as incorruptible is pure lunacy in my book .
Best of luck to us all & I hope you enjoy supporting a show boat fool of a coach acting like the evil ones in their synagogues & street corners .

Im still waiting for that list of biblical scholars & Patristics that explain Matthew 6: 5-8 as YOU SHOULD pray in public in a big spectacle instead of what it says .
Im your fear in the form of your own doubt in your faith .
Faith is nothing, because everyone has it , what doors that require hard work are you scared of ? That is were it all starts , not having Jesus do all the work , because you had faith .
Faith gets you to buy tools & that is important, but that is the end of faith’s job … your salvation is in those tools . What temples have you erected inside yourself?
No father raises a child by doing all the hard work for the child it’s whole life .. why is that ? Because that child will fail as an adult & lose .
Well how does faith save you if you think everything is in God’s hand & you are only required to trust in faith .
Faith was added by Paul so he could get non Jewish members to join his Jesus cult & that is that .
Think Im crazy ? Do your own research & you will find these things out .
Accepting Jesus’s death is accepting a Jewish blood debt god. Dont be tricked by the Jewish hoof prints all over the formation of the current bible .
Do you know that the two oldest bibles in existence have not one mention of Jesus’s resurrection… look it up .
