U.S. Embassy in Moscow Gets New Address

Authorities in Moscow said on Wednesday that they have changed the official address of the U.S. Embassy building in the Russian capital to one named after pro-Kremlin separatists in Ukraine.

"The United States Embassy in Russia has a new official address," Moscow City hall said in a statement, saying it had named a previously unnamed open area in front of the embassy's main entrance.

It said the embassy is now located at 1 Donetsk People's Republic Square, referring to a breakaway region in eastern Ukraine that Moscow recognized as independent shortly before sending troops there.

The embassy's previous address was 8 Bolshoi Devyatinsky Lane.

In accordance with the Law of the City of Moscow dated October 8, 1997 No. 40-70 “On the name of territorial units, streets and metro stations of the city of Moscow”, Decree of the Government of Moscow dated September 13, 2011 No. 423-PP “On the City Interdepartmental Commission on the Name territorial units, streets, metro stations, organizations and other objects of the city of Moscow”, by the decision of the City Interdepartmental Commission on the names of territorial units, streets, metro stations, organizations and other objects of the city of Moscow, the Government of Moscow decides:

1. Assign the nameless territory located from Bolshoi Devyatinsky Lane to Maly Konyushkovsky Lane along Konyushkovskaya Street in the Presnensky District of the Central Administrative District of Moscow, the name - Donetsk People's Republic Square.

2. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow - the head of the Office of the Mayor and the Government of Moscow Sergunina N.A.

I believe that this is a response to the appearance in Washington in front of the Russian embassy Boris Nemtsov plaza.

I agree that this is ridiculous and stupid, but this is only the smallest part of the confrontation between the US and Russia, which is no longer funny.

New address of the US Embassy in Russia

The US Embassy in Russia has changed its official address in Moscow. The US diplomatic mission is currently located in buildings 1-9 at 1 Donetsk People's Republic Square.

The initiative to honour the memory of the defenders of Donbass in Moscow was made by deputies of the Moscow City Duma. We appreciate how the US Embassy fully supported this initiative and thank American diplomats for their consideration, support and promotion of this move. Residents sent numerous proposals for the new name to the Moscow Government. The American diplomatic mission’s contribution in the form of a free consultation was invaluable. Thank you. Write more.

Moscow residents voted for the name through the Active Citizen online project. The winner was supported by about 45 percent of the 278,684 participants.

I hope that the United States will not take too long to recognise the new republics of Donbass. They have excellent industrial potential, let alone human resources. My advice to everyone: use the new address for your letters.

On a second thaught, the temper tantrum for taking their pacifier, is a normal reaction for addicts. So we might have to hold it out a little longer as they seem really exhausted already.

Trolling and nothing else. Russia probably got the idea from the city council in Washington D.C.. They renamed the road where the Saudi embassy is located to Jamal Khashoggi.

NATO just challenged both Russia and China as security threats..

If only NATO didn't mess around with Ukraine and the US didn't mess around in Ukraine. This conflict in Ukraine wouldn't had happened.
