Space debris. Flashes are reflections of sunlight. Could be anything natural or manmade.

Mind you that the shuttle is traveling forward at 17,500 mph in orbit spacequotations.com...
and the object is flying perpendicular through the cargo bay!
SnF!

I don't know, but I'm gonna make a guess and say that maybe we're not actually seeing the object that has the flashing light on it, but rather what we're seeing is some sort of reflection off the camera lens. A sort of lens flare. And maybe the actual object is traveling just barely out of the line of sight of the camera.

During the lockdown I went back to my shuttle flight archives and I found a number of significant new examples of UFO video evidence that will, I hope, advance this discussion
about objects in the Cargo Bay. One video in particular, shows a playing card sized object tumbling through the cargo bay hatch right into the shuttle. I know that sounds very extreme but that's what you see!! The camera that shows this is inside the shuttle, aimed at the shuttle hatch to show the astronauts entering after a spacewalk. I plan to release it on my channel soon, but my friend Darcy Weir, a documentary filmmaker who specializes in this kind of thing has asked me to hold it because he wants to use it in his latest film first... And I want to help Darcy so I'm holding it for now. I did the same with The Tether footage back in 2000... I held it back for a while until my UFO friends could analyze it. People like David Sereda (USA) & the late Graham Birdsall (UK)..etc.. I am as amazed by this new clip as I was with the tether footage, even though this new footage is only a few seconds long. This video, slowed down, will take this discussion, I hope, to a new level.. It clearly shows the dark object...... My point is that I am still in a position to introduce new evidence. My contribution to this huge UFO topic, is and has always been.. introducing actual evidence that I find myself. This evidence is often puzzling and unknown as to what we are seeing & just what these things are, and so I leave it to others to comment and leave their opinions. On my YouTube channel I leave all the comments posted for everyone to see, good or bad.. including Jim Os..and I post the raw footage, which sometimes is hard to follow without a commentary. I'm sure people will find what I'm showing a little hard to follow at first, as it is raw footage, but that's the best way to present it. And on top of it all ..it's really fun to do it!!

No way! No photographer worth his/her salt would agree. Long-time photographers, such as I am, are familiar with lens flares and the video does not show any. Ditto for the rest. The video shows an actual object. What I would have liked to have seen is the controllers that may have been watching the camera's view to engage the camera showing the other side of the bay to see the object move past the bay onto the other side. I appreciate your POV.

As I said, I don't know....
All I know is that what it does look like doesn't make any sense to me, so there must be some explanation for it.
