To the OP,
The "Christian" community needs to be reconciled to God just as much as the LGBT+ community.
The Bible doesn't state if a person is born homosexual or not. It does tell us that all humankind is in a state of sin. This causes disease, old age,
and eventually death in every human.
God's word does tell us to control our impulses. It says we need to exert self-control, which is a display of the fruitage of God's holy spirit.
Jehovah God is good and loves all humankind and he is very aware of our fallen nature and of the fact it is not our fault. He has provided his word
the Bible to guide and direct us. He is the "hearer of prayer" and listens to and answers all sincere prayers directed to him. God's word can have a
huge impact on a person's life.
God is holy. That is clean. And he demands cleanliness of his creation. Even us fallen humans can be holy, and have a righteous standing with God:
"
This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel:
“I, Jehovah, am your God,
The One teaching you to benefit yourself,
The One guiding you in the way you should walk.
If only you would pay attention to my commandments!
Then your peace would become just like a river
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea."
-Isaiah 48:17-18.
The Bible reveals to us that Jesus came to earth not to condone sinners but to call them to repentance:
"
I have come to call...sinners to repentance.”-Luke 5:32.
The Bible reveals that there is unclean, unrighteous conduct that prevents people from having a relationship with the heavenly Father. We need to
cleanse ourselves of every defilement of the flesh and spirit:
"
Let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."-2 Corinthians 7:1.
God condemns all filthy and unrighteous practices which include false religious teachings, spiritism, things that defile the flesh, such as
drunkenness, tobacco use, illicit drug use, and he condemns immoral conduct which he has a right to call unclean, murder, selfishness, idolatry,
adultery, thievery, revilers, sexual immorality in all its forms, whether it is heterosexual or homosexual. All forms of illicit sexual conduct
outside of the marriage arrangement put in place by God is sexual immorality, that would include mutual masturbation, oral sex, anal sex, and sexual
penetration between a heterosexual couple. God made sex to be clean and pure between a man and a woman that are married. Satan has corrupted and
polluted human thinking on sex. God condemns all forms of sexual immorality:
"
Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, thieves, greedy
people, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will not inherit God’s Kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean;
you have been sanctified; you have been declared righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God."-1 Corinthians
6:9-10.
The Bible shows us that many people who lived unclean lives have purified themselves and washed themselves in the Jesus' blood and have been made
clean in Jehovah's eyes. God is a very generous and merciful God.
He wants all humans everywhere to repent.
That would include people in Christendom that worship Jesus as God. That worship idols. That believe in the false Trinity doctrine. That involve
themselves in the politics and the wars of this world.
You see the "Christian community" is even more reprehensible in God's eyes than the LGBT+ community. Because they claim to worship the God of the
Bible but disown him by their works:
"
They publicly declare that they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for
good work of any sort."-Titus 1:16.
Jehovah warns all to quit touching the unclean thing, to separate themselves from the world, and then he will take them in:
"
‘Therefore, get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will
take you in.’” “‘And I will become a father to you, and you will become sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah, the Almighty.”-2
Corinthians 6:17-18.
Jehovah loves people in general. He will not condone bad conduct, but he is very merciful to us. We have no business judging one another. We should
not be busy-bodies in others affairs. By showing love and empathy, qualities that God has, we show God's love in our lives. And that love will draw
people to God. Not by words, but by works and deeds.
Scripture shows us that God is eager and willing to set matters straight with all sinners. Even if our sins were red like scarlet, he promises to make
them white as the snow:
“Come, now, and let us set matters straight between us,” says Jehovah.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They will be made as white as snow;
Though they are as red as crimson cloth,
They will become like wool.
-Isaiah 1:18.
We are told that as far as as the sunrise is from the sunset so far off has God put our sins from us. For God remembers that we are mere dust,
remembering the formation of us and knowing everything about us:
"
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor has he repaid us what our errors deserve.
11 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So great is his loyal love toward those who fear him.
12 As far off as the sunrise is from the sunset,
So far off from us he has put our transgressions.
13 As a father shows mercy to his sons,
Jehovah has shown mercy to those who fear him.
14 For he well knows how we are formed,
Remembering that we are dust."
-Psalms 103:10-14.
In fact, Jehovah is thinking good thoughts toward us, to give us a hope and a future:
“‘For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a
future and a hope. And you will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.’-Jeremiah 29:11-12.
All of these things and many other reassuring things we are comforted with in the scriptures. God wants us to pray to him and he will answer us by
guiding us to his word the Bible. And he can also guide his witnesses, a righteous and clean people, to those in the world to call them to repentance,
and to teach them the healthful words of truth found in his word. The angels direct the preaching work. It is a display of Jehovah's love toward
sinners.
Within God's word found in the Bible is found divine wisdom. It makes one wise. And the more we pray to God, and the more he responds by means of his
holy spirit opening our hearts and minds to see his beautiful love and mercy toward us the more we love him, and the more we love our neighbor. God's
love for us compels us to love. To obey his commandments, and to love others. To overlook their flaws, to see their potential and good. To be
forgiving and merciful. To endure the hate, to pray for those persecuting us, and to love those that hate us.
That is the reconciliation that God offers. It is open to everyone everywhere.
