armed man looking to kill justice kavanough arrested near his home

The armed California man arrested near the Maryland home of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh Wednesday morning has been identified as Nicholas John Roske, law enforcement sources tell Fox News.

Roske of Simi Valley, California, was carrying a gun, knife and pepper spray when arrested and had made violent threats against Kavanaugh, sources said. Roske was picked up on a nearby street after calling police on 911 to report himself.

A criminal complaint obtained by Fox News shows that Roske is being charged with attempting to murder a United States Supreme Court Justice. He is scheduled to have a first appearance in federal court in Maryland Wednesday afternoon.

He told officers that he wanted "to give his life purpose" and purchased the gun and other items for the purpose of breaking into Kavanaugh’s home and killing the justice and then himself. Roske admitted in a second interview with the FBI of his intent to kill Kavanaugh and himself, according to an affidavit in support of the criminal complaint.

Roske told detectives that "he was upset about the leak of a recent Supreme Court draft decision regarding the right to an abortion as well as the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas," and believed Kavanaugh "would side with Second Amendment decisions that would loosen gun control laws," according to the affidavit.

Makes me wonder if the conservative justices will be re-thinking their stance on the court cases involving the election that they found had 'no standing' (before the vote) and 'moot' (after the vote).

After reading what this man did, I got this nagging feeling that he may be an agent provocateur, in order to push for restrictions or even congressional vote on the second amendment, the abortion is just an excuse and tagged to the agenda.

We have some ugly things going on against the people in our country and is all political.

Yep is a big agenda going on to destroy anything American was build on, even it that requires the killing of hundreds of innocent people to get the desirable results.

Perhaps this man was just taking a "tour" of Kavanaugh's home. I believe this to be another example of "legitimate political discourse".

If you guys are against this man doing this, then you should also be against those who did what they did on January 6th.

Pick a side but talking out of both side of one's mouth makes you a hypocrite. And while I know so many could care less that they are, it still is so.

Merely "calling me out" won't change a thing I do here on ATS, or anywhere else for that matter.

I've done this maybe 100 times over the past 12 years. It works, if your complaint is duplicated by other members. See if you can get together a pack of anti-CareWeMust members and everyone complain...like a recall petition.

What's even worse is how Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is bragging of how she's helping to keep (for now) Conservative Justices exposed to assassination attempts, by voting down a bill that would have enhanced their security protection.

If a Conservative member of Congress had bragged about keeping Justices exposed to violence, the Media and Experts would be demanding that member's removal from Congress, and questioning the sanity of voters who put him/her there.
