I've gotta say keeping this inside of 100 words was very challenging , I like it though it's and interesting change up to the contest .

The Casting

This was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the challenge. ;o)

Just one question. I asked this in a private message and haven't heard back yet; the real reason I'm asking here is in case it would be useful information to the other writers.

Q) Are we permitted to explain the symbolism of our story (or would that go past the word count if we used 100 words already)?

Yes! Multiple entries allowed!

This is surprisingly difficult to fit into 100 words.

YES.. it would count against the stories word limit.

If you want to try and give a "Brief" pre-text/explanation IN THE OFFICIAL CONTEST THREAD (not in your story thread), then I currently don't see that being a problem. BUT... I say this going again on the premise of the word "BRIEF".

If the explanation itself becomes a story.. THEN NO.. you can't do that as it would be seen as an advantage over the other members submissions..

Does that make sense? Were attempting to let the stories speak for themselves.. The Theme is SuperNatural... and that covers a whole gamut of 'stuff/things/events/etc.'

"Green Bean Tim" - Brief Explanation

Timmy = time
green beans = nature
the rejection of the ice cream = time melting the ice caps, rejecting the ice
"eating religiously" is to plug the story into religious end times

Because apparently some can not read the rules, please see the below as I would hate to see your story you worked so hard on, refused because of something silly like... Not reading the rules (facepalms self).

And a second one in pursuit of gimmicks. Tried to have fun on this one. May just be pretentious. Its a palindrome?

It was SO HARD to limit to 100 words!
It started at 330 or so since I had thought it was 500 then I sure had a lot of whittling to do....

DAMMIT!

I spent the last few days working on a postable version of the first chapter of a book I am writing, that was perfect for the theme: Supernatural

I ended up deciding on a 11 page excerpt of some 40+ pages from the start of the book ...

Only to then click on this thread and see that the story is a 100 word limit

*Sigh*
