Andy Fletcher Of Depeche Mode R.I.P.

Sad news that Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode has passed away age 60. He was with the band from the begining and played keyboards & Synth on all their major hits.

R.I.P. Andy and thank you for the music.

Fletcher, who was 60, was a founding member of the band which found success with their dark electronic sound with hits including Just Can't Get Enough. Depeche Mode had chart success in the 1980s and 1990s with singles including New Life, Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence.

I am shocked beyond belief by Andy Fletcher's death, my generation you see, but my very first thought after Ray Liotta, one of my favourite actors, was indeed: the vax!

There is no law to show respect, people are even allowed to laugh at their deaths if they want.

Was just listening to some Depeche Mode today. We used to call it "Depress Mode" in high school.

But that didn't stop us listening.

And there goes another one. I too grew up with Depeche Mode in high school. Lots and lots of memories there. RIP and sincere condolences to his wife and his two kids.

The band said they were "shocked and filled with overwhelming sadness with the untimely passing of our dear friend, family member, and bandmate".

Fletch had the best dance moves.
Fletch authored some of the most iconic keyboard riffs.
Fletch was a legend and will be missed.

RIP.

Also a belated RIP to June Brown (Dot Cotton of Eastenders) and Dennis Waterman ( The Sweeney, Minder, New Tricks) who failed to get a mention on this site.
