Peeling Back The Orange - Orb - That Is

Recently I was watching one of my favorite shows Paranormal Caught On Camera. There was a segment that featured a quasi Orange White orb seen traveling for a bit parallel to a residential house’s roof line until it changes direction. For the most part the footage begins with a orb that is characteristically Orange…….then something is mentioned by the narrator and the person that shot the footage.

As the Orange orb proceeds it’s flight path….it changes to a whitish color, expands a little then contracts to less than half its size….or….the orb field cuts out monetarily showing what may be the craft. Albeit it’s not defined in detail to show hard surfaces.

But it’s ok to hypothesize that within orbs or should I say the corona of the orb….Is a craft at its center.

At normal speed


At slow motion


Pics are left to right, top to bottom as the orb travels right to left just above the roof line.


Zoomies of the orb in Orange, the small center craft (or reduction in energy), lastly the whitish color, that once changed to, remained the same color for the duration of the footage.


I have never seen footage of such a state change of other orbs, in other vids, as I have with this particular Orb.

It also appears to fluctuate the outside edges…almost like plasma?

Imo, pretty interesting….

Those types of lights are considered to reside in the ghost world of paranormal….those types of lights are at a very low altitude. This particular orb was at a much higher altitude….

I grew up in Marfa and I can promise you they arent as low in altitude as you think, in fact, they measured where those lights SHOULD be coming from in altitude and it was Higher than the mountain range by a huge amount, they also change altitutde quite frequently

Ok I get ya…..

As far as the tag…..Paranormal is not in the title of the thread….however I mentioned it as being part of the title of the show which features all kinds of things……so perhaps the ATS. AI picked up on the word Paranormal in the body of my OP and auto tagged it as Paranormal.

I just realized that Orb is in my titled………and orbs are associated to ghosts as well…..perhaps that’s why it was tagged to Paranormal. Oh well, my intent of using orb was in association with UFO’s/UAP’s.

I’ve been peeling with filters….at the screenshot seen in the OP where the orb is reduced in energy, corona, etc…..I’m seeing flattish angles and lines. Interesting to say the least…at least for me.

That's a pretty kick ass orb, interesting how it seems to change shape, definitely an entity or a light craft sort of ufo. I've always been fascinated by these things, I've seen orbs but much smaller and white, one was Smokey black.

Interesting the 5 sided shape it seems to make, in some of the filter shots you can almost make out a star of David shape, which would be a merkaba in 3d! Very cool!

Yup seen one of these with my own eyes in a Welsh forest just 20 feet away, although the one I saw was more pinkish in colour.

I believe orbs are what we see when these things are vibrating at a low frequency. They perhaps normally travel at much higher frequencies and dissapear to our eyes, just like the one I saw after it took off and then vanished.

There is more chance of the viewpoint moving left to right me thinks and the orb being the sun on the horizon through a hazy sky acting as a filter which differs in thickness which would explain the size change. The rise and fall and speed/direction on land of the viewpoint would maybe explain the apparent change in altitude/speed/direction of the orb.

Yes, that's something I often wondered too.

Perhaps the orb I/we saw all those years ago was a lost or stuck soul that we found finally being freed from this physical world.

A little more than 12 years ago I saw something similar where I live in Florida.

While driving home one night from a friends house I look to my left and see a basketball sized (from my perspective) translucent blue sphere hovering approximately 30 feet above the one story schoolboard building. Inside the sphere was what I can only describe as a swirling white energy. As quickly as I saw it, it was gone.

Not that it means much, but I was a police officer at the time (12 years total), so I like to think of myself as a pretty good observer.

I've passed by that location numerous times since and have never seen anything like that night.

My Pareidolia eyes 😳 see’s a helmeted(?) figure (Pilot), with a head, torso, arms, legs, and feet….sitting in a seat.

I added my perceived propulsion with upward and forward momentum since the vid in the OP showed the Orb moving from right to left.



The helmeted(?) head on the seat’s backrest…..bottom right outline.



Kind of reminds me of Mayan/Aztec Pictographs

Amazing where the mind can take someone…..

No link …… I shot it with my iPad camera facing my TV while the segment was being presented.

About compression artifacts……would I assume pixelization? If so, aren’t pixels in squares?

What I’m seeing is both squaring and curving…..

The full vid shows it fully Orange for it’s flight……..the turn to whitish as I previously posted …..must have been a coloration change by the production of the show Paranormal Caught on Camera …..nevertheless its fascinating, and doesn’t discount my view and filtering, and zooming details of the center of the orb…..

That would have created even more compression artefacts.

About compression artifacts……would I assume pixelization? If so, aren’t pixels in squares?

What I’m seeing is both squaring and curving…..

Pixelization is only one of the possibilities, on this page you have several examples of compression artefacts that may occur in videos.

I suppose you resized the image before applying the filters, as resizing would turn right angle vertices into short radius curves.

Just as a test, you could try to apply the same filters to an image captured directly from the YouTube video and see if there are any differences.

As for the sighting itself, there isn't much that can be said, as it's just an out of focus (we can see the camera trying to focus around 0:14) light in the sky. Considering the colour and the date it could easily have been a Chinese lantern.
PS: the movements make me think there was also some kind of motion compensation active, which blurs slightly the edges of everything.

I saw a small orange orb that appeared out of nowhere in my living room, that slowly snaked into an almost s shape, very slowly, and plasma is a good word for it.

Also, related I believe were some very strange events before, but more after this sighting. Not orbs, different phenomena. Freaked me out a little, but have grown a little used to it!

How about you do the test…..and see what you come up with.

I’ve only got my mini iPad to work with currently. When I try to screenshot a paused moment of the vid……my screen darkens by YouTube and the function’s buttons appear overlaid. As seen below, the play button is pointing to the object at it’s smallest size at 00:14 and it’s darkened along with the rest of the scene, when it should be brighter.



You have better software.

For the filters….I just used what is already bundled with the iPad software. I started at the top of the filters selections and applied compounding them down the line as my choice of what I thought I was getting as far as detailed.

Nothing bad has ever come from them that I know of.

The one I experienced gave a VERY positive feeling during and after. There was nothing hostile whatsoever.
