When I was in Finland in the 70's the bicycle I rode was one of two used by the family when they walked for days through the forest in Karelia. All they could save from their pre-invasion life was loaded onto those two bicycles.

Some Finns, including many of the descendants of the deported Karelians, consider the Finnish government's position on Karelia shameful and would like to see Helsinki raise the issue more forcefully with Moscow.

Russia has the Karelian Republic. Go to Petrozavodsk and ask the residents how they feel about Russia. In general, Russia is more than 190 nationalities. And during the war, they are all Russian.

By the way, how are the Irish doing there, millions of whom were destroyed and sold into slavery by the British crown. And they were forced to emigrate to America? And the Scots, the Welsh? The international community remembers well the genocide of the Irish people, as well as many other peoples, that Britain produced.

As to POW, well i suggest you treat them nice and according to Geneva conventions whether they apply or otherwise else that's simply another thing Russia will be held to account for once this is all over.

LOL, I'm 53, I lived through the drills in school, the movies showing what the aftermath of a Nuclear Holocaust would look like. Yes, I know some wouldn't die, they would just wander around a smoldering wasteland getting radiation poisoning and wishing they were vaporized in the initial blast. Sure sounds like a lovely time. Why is it that all the nuclear powers decided long ago that they wouldn't use these weapons anymore?

When Soviet Union attacked Finland back in November 30 1939 without declaring a war at that time USSR was a part of League of Nation ( prior UN) after 105 days of war USSR was kicked out of the League. At that time when USSR was a part of the league, there were no help to Finland from any of the countries which were part of the league. Finland asked military help from the league but was turned down because Russia was part of it, so it lead Finland to ask military help from Germany but with their own terms. What you say there are not all true, Finns are not nazis and never will be. They never took part of Hitler´s aims to kill jews etc.

You say that Russia was somekind of "God´s gift to Finland " when Finns were in Swedish rule to russian rule ( swedish rule in Finland started with crusade 1100 and was pretty much on/off relationship ) Finns did fight wars in Europe under Swedish King. How can you pretend to be a saviour of Finland when Greater Wrath war in finnish soil ( 1700-1721) lead Russian Cossacks to rape all women, too many children were stolen from their villages and sold to slavery to Russia and forward and all the way to Iran and India. Amount of people including children sent to slavery is somewhere 10 000 to 30 000... this is that "Russian love" .

This kind of actions happened all the time by Russia towards Finland. Even when Finland were under swedish rule, russians made their crimes towards finnish people, that lasted hundreds of years ! time of Russian rule of Finland is just fraction of what it was with Sweden.

What comes to NATO, Sweden and Finland are both sovereign countries. I watched interview finnish President had with PM Johnson. Finnish President stated that 3 decades Russia has tried to dictate Finland not to join Nato and every time Finland has answered that they will hold that option as a sovereign nation. After Russia started war in Ukraine, Finland faced the fact that Russia is not holding its promises and were ready to attack neighboring country. The swastika entered Finland's air force through a Swedish nobleman, Count Eric von Rosen.

He had gifted a plane to the air force of Finland in 1918, with a blue swastika painted on it. Rosen used to consider the swastika a good luck charm.

Subsequent planes in the Finnish air force continued to use the symbol, which eventually became associated with anti-Semitism after Hitler adopted the swastika for the Nazi party.

Rosen didn't have any Nazi associations in 1918, but eventually formed a connection to Nazi Germany through his brother-in-law, who was a personal friend of Hitler.

None of it makes sense.The invasion of Ukraine is of zero benefit to anyone in Russia.
In fact the response to the invasion is highly detrimental to Russia-and may well lead to a total collapse of the nation.

Tens of thousands of missile systems delivered to Ukraine by the West. Where is the result? Where are at least dozens of destroyed Russian tanks and planes?

But in the DPR and LPR there is no place to store captured Western weapons. Today, this arsenal of Western weapons has been replenished with the 155 mm M777A2 howitzer.



The People's Republics are planning to send these weapons to Northern Ireland for Sinn Fein. Let them fight for their freedom and independence and union with Ireland))))
