The reports say the Vsevolod Bobrov has been hit and is on fire near Snake Island.

Ukraine has set a modern Russian navy logistics ship on fire in the Black Sea, according to Odesa's regional military administration.

Serhiy Bratchuk added that the vessel - the Vsevolod Bobrov - was damaged, but did not confirm the scale of the strike.

Ukraine said the ship was hit near Snake Island, the site of renewed fighting.

The tiny island is located near Ukraine's sea border with Romania.

Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesman for the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram that the ship was damaged and set on fire as a result of a Ukrainian strike, Ukrinform reports.

"As a result of the actions of our Navy, the Vsevolod Bobrov support ship, one of the newest in the Russian fleet, set on fire. They say she is limping toward Sevastopol," Bratchuk said.

You mean makarov wasn't there to protect the island and russia's 'fleet' again?

Strange.

Perhaps russia hasn't learned to navigate the ship properly in submarine mode yet?

Ukraine would be an excellent addition to NATO.

They can fight. They are not afraid. They understand patriotism and honor of Country.

Keep the good fight going Ukraine!

When considering they have the far right militia fighting for Ukraine's national guard.

The far right are the patriots of Ukraine according to the former Ukrainian president you are right.

It's interesting how Ukraine has tons of the latest, greatest high tech equipment pouring in and with little to no training on its use became so proficient. Maybe we should have Ukrainian soldiers take over training our US military. They'd all be like Green Berets and Navy Seals in just a day or two!

I guess then, that there is yet another boat aflame, lives lost for the ridiculous flying the flag notion that boats, of all things are invincible, and can't sink, melt or be destroyed....just like tanks, and planes, and all those thingies that move.

There's not much that makes sense anymore...and yup, Putin sits at his long table in contemplation of his 'special operation' which he now calls, is a war...whudda thought?

Zekinsky publicly advised folks to back off the Snake Island story after receiving that information.

Now compare that to russia, who is STILL lying about moskva today.

Has anyone seen proof that makarov still floats yet?

She still hasn't been defending the russian 'fleet' or Snake Island, which had been her primary assignments after moskva 'self destructed' and sank

Independent defense Analysis H I Sutton believes satellite imagery shows Admiral Makarov near Sevastopol.

H.I. Sutton, an independent journalist focusing on naval warfare, has spotted more than a dozen of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s remaining warships, intact and underway.

They include Admiral Makarov, one of the fleet’s three frigates and arguably the top target for Ukraine’s drones and anti-ship missile batteries.

Sutton’s analysis of new commercial satellite imagery seems to confirm that last week’s rumors about a successful Ukrainian attack on Admiral Makarov were just that—rumors. The frigate survives.

But it’s worth noting where Sutton found Admiral Makarov on or before Monday: sailing near Sevastopol in the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula. In other words, close to home.
