Since the Black Hole is "holding our galaxy together" (as the article states), are we to assume that every Galaxy is held together by a Black Hole at its center?

That article is wrong. Each galaxy is held together by the common gravity of all its stars and interstellar material. Many galaxies don't have a black hole at their centre.
If you were to remove the black hole in the centre of our galaxy, while it would upset the orbits of innermost stars, the rest of the galaxy will carry on as normal.

This is a good watch if you aren't too familiar with black holes.
