i got COVID

i am double vaxxed and i just found out i have covid.



so much for those shots i got............

Don't worry.. we all will have COVID like we all had those sniffles... Don't worry too much.

Depends on what kind of Covid symptoms you have . I am unvaxxed and I have no idea how I contacted Covid. What I do know is that I went in for my first acupuncture treatment for a torn meniscus and then three days later I tested positive and then got sick. I only went in for a test because some peeps at work were not feeling to good and it was just a random test. Anyway, the worst for me was a 104 degree fever that lasted for 10 straight days. It would come at the same time everyday. I had no other symptoms. Never lost smell, or taste, no headache. Just a bone chilling fever that lasted for about 6 hours and then gone. a reply to: noscopebacon

Spend your 2/3 days hanging out in your house catching up on Netflix, and be thankful its not 10+ days as many of my un-vacced friends expereinced. They also have some lingering issues like a dry cough that will not go away when they talk and being instructors that kind of sucks when you need to talk for hours.

I asked my doctor for Ivermectin, and she gave me a prescription. I felt better the next day, but I took it on Day 1. I have no idea if it helped, as I don't know how sick I would have been without taking it. But I was the only one in the house who took it, and I got better before everyone else.

Mucinex D, water and rest. Doctor also had me take zinc, vitamin d3, aspirin, and vitamin c.

When my son had COVID he had 4 days of low grade fevers (under 102), headache, muscle aches, dizziness and fatigue.

My son’s pediatrician recommended alternating Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen (example: Tylenol and Motrin). My son quickly reported the Tylenol didn’t do anything but the Motrin made him feel better. Technically you can take both of these medications together. I also gave him zinc and vitamin C supplements.

My son found that soaking in a warm/hot bath a couple of times a day helped with his body aches and also helped when he was dealing with chills from his fever.

The reality is the Goverment overhyped not getting it and then they used it as a weapon against the un-vacced saying they are the reason it is spreading. The reality is from day one the whole purpose was to minimize the symptoms if you do get it. I believe it was still 6 times more of a chance to get it un-vacced with Delta, but omicron is like a whole new virus so the defenses you had for Delta are not the same with this one. Also, the vaccine lasts about 270 days before the effectiveness drops off a good deal.

With Delta 90%+ in the hospitals were the unvacced, so the vaccine did its job with Delta which was a much more nastier virus than omicron is, so I'm not sure what your expectations were as the Government really didn't help any of this one bit.

I had to go to EU and that meant I needed a booster which I got. Coming back I caught COVID and I knew right away I had it. First 2 days I felt like crap with zero fever, day three I was feeling better and by day 5 it was all gone. I'm 62 so who knows what it would had been like if I was unvacced, but the bottom-line is I really don't care as long as I didn't end up in the hospital. I took a ton of Vitamin D and C too.

Nobody was forced to take the vaxx, you did it for convenience. What's the next thing you're gonna do for convenience?

She was also vaxed and boosted.

Nobody was forced to take the vaxx, you did it for convenience. What's the next thing you're gonna do for convenience?

I got covid from my double vaxxed son, who is in the USAF. he didn't want the shot, but was given the choice of getting the shot, or getting the f out. Call it what every you need to in order to sleep at night.

Ask your doctor for Ivermectin. If he/she refuses...get a new doctor.

The spread of Omicron is no joke. I'm just glad it isn't super bad. I had to test to come back to the US so I was tested on a Thursday and didn't do anything the rest of the night but just eat in our room. Friday morning I flew back on a plane where everyone was tested too, everyone masked etc, and airplanes are suggested the least likely place to catch it with the dry moving air it has. Landed, got our bags and car and drove home, just myself and wife who never got it. Saturday morning I had it and really never left the house.

You really didn't get the point of my post. Keeping your job or position in the army is exactly what I meant with the term convenience. At the end of the day both OP and your son had a choice, but they went for the most convenient one.
