Behind the Iron Curtain

Imagine being in Nazi Germany in the 1930's and trying to serve God. True Christians look up to Jesus Christ as the only savior of humankind. They could never look to a human and give any human homage that rightfully belongs to real Savior Jesus Christ. Thus was the dilemma of the Jehovah's Witnesses during those years. Because of their Christian neutrality and their unbreakable faith in God and his word, they refused to heil Hitler, they would not give honor and glory to a human that only belonged to God and his Christ. Because of this Hitler said he would exterminate Jehovah's Witnesses. And they were unique among religious groups. They were among the first in the concentration camps, and aside from the Jews the most persecuted, and the only religious group as a whole.

After WWII behind the Iron Curtain Stalin had plans to exterminate Jehovah's Witnesses. He even had the KGB try and infiltrate the organization. What would happen when the KGB official actually started to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses? And what were some of the propagandistic and slanderous tactics both the Soviets and current day Russia have used to smear them? An interesting video for sure. The first half has to do with Nazi Germany, and the second half started at 5:30 has to do with the USSR:




Just a little story of how a singing recording was smuggled out of the Soviet Union to be played at an international convention. This has been made public and was a long time ago, so no one is being put in harm by revealing this. Currently Russia is retrograding to the tactics of the past. Never would I post information that would put anyone in harms way. There is a time for everything under the sun, a time to speak and a time to remain silent.



Why post these stories? To show what has happened in the past, and what is going to happen again in the near future. And why God's people aren't worried at all about it. And why government officials and soldiers when they find out the truth, they understand why it is so easy to take God's side in the universal war now being waged.

Jehovah’s Witnesses endured intense persecution under the Nazi regime. Actions against the religious group and its individual members spanned the Nazi years 1933 to 1945. Unlike Jews, Sinti and Roma (“Gypsies”), and others persecuted and killed by virtue of their birth, Jehovah’s Witnesses had the opportunity to escape persecution and personal harm by renouncing their religious beliefs. The courage the vast majority displayed in refusing to do so, in the face of torture, maltreatment in concentration camps, and sometimes execution, won them the respect of many contemporaries.

Not only were the Jehovah's Witnesses the only religious group to have its own grouping, the Purple Triangle, they were among the first in the concentration camps, and aside from the Jews, the most persecuted by the Nazi.

There are memorials in various parts of the world dedicated to this. It is a fact of history that many try to deny and cover up.
