In the word coc aine. Is there a legal reason for it? I happen to talk about it as it is a thing in the real world and yet we somehow have this space in the word when typed in here. Yet there's no other word that I have ever read on ATS that has this wonkiness.

I'm not talking about using it, I know that rule, but come on, this shouldn't be an issue and why can't we have an honest discussion about the drug, it's consequences, the stupid War On Drugs, etc. without having a simple word split in half like we are all morons?

Doing that makes the board look bad because it signifies we are all idiots who can't follow the rules about not talking drug use.

Can we get over this and look like adults here?

Drugs are so bad, yet the legal stuff that kills millions every year is perfectly fine to talk about, I don't get it. Sugar kills, but it is legal, so it is ok to talk about. Weed, who has never killed anyone, but some time, is frowned upon.

Not everything that is lawful is the right thing to do and not every thing that is unlawful is wrong.

That topic is so heavily biased, I guess it is some religious indoctrination, as that is the only hub that is still sort of "there" mentally.

i never quite understood that rule... I can relate a story and if it is out there everyone jumps to the conclusion that some mind-altering substance was involved. Apparently, it is ok to insult someone with that but to relate a story to the use is not ok.

This shows ATS adultness on so many levels...

Adults do talk about drugs

I've never understood why it is verboten to discuss illicit drugs and their use and abuse on this site.

Surely if there's one place to do that it's right here.

Millions of people worldwide take illicit drugs and don't die or even have any discernible health problems as a result.

Whereas I am having continuing health problems from taking a statin 2 years after stopping taking it.

So let’s say you want to convince someone that you saw a UFO land in your backyard and aliens came out and gave you a bouquet of flowers. But you also have 37 threads about doing mind blowing hallucinogens a regular basis that have random and long lasting after effects sometimes weeks later.

Does a skeptic take your UFO thread at face value or the L S D '___' thread that six hours beforehand?

And from a business standpoint, can anything posted on a site of “stoners talking about tripping balls” be taken seriously? I mean if a crackhead told you that Joe Biden is a little methed up in the head, you’d take it with a grain of salt because it was a crackhead that said it, right?

We do discuss drugs and abuse. Its the "recreational use and production" of drugs...we do not.

I don't see the distinction.

I once made a comment that I take an illicit substance which has helped me a great deal in my job and hasn't produced any lasting ill effects. It disappeared (perhaps this one will).

I'm not an advocate, by the way.

I just think the subject ought to be discussed freely, it's part of the modern world whether you like it or not.

It's silly to just zap comments because of some perceived harmful effects on the general public.

If you discern anyone's account due to some superficiality you are not doing the task of denying ignorance justice...

You are taking an argument based in ignorance to justify the ignorant approach on that topic.

You are right people are biased when it comes to mind altering substances, but should that bias be propelled on ATS.

the real mind bender around here are the constant advices to get high on psychopharmaka.perfectly fine it seems.
funny enough it's these same threads, that if you are not a crackhead first advice is have you had your meds...

It probably is a matter of age, can't fight growing up during war propaganda and heck the war on drug did a good job propaganda wise...

So, what. We're all crackheads here at ATS? What the hell are you on about? Why the hell can't we, as adults, have a decent conversation about a very well known illicit drug that many millions partake in and is a part of the societal issues we talk about around here be dictated by a few "crackheads'?

Hell, as far as drug talk goes, why don't we ban Qanon BS? That's got to be a worse drug than coc aine. People actually believe that bs and we are here talking about splitting up a damn word that is in the English language, you can find it in the dictionary.

Why do we have to split the damned word apart? Again, it makes us all here on ATS look like little children who can't handle a damned word. So damn afraid of a word, what the hell?

Again, what the hell are you really going on about?

We don't "just" zap comments.

If your question was a simple why is coc aine split automatically by the auto censors then the simple answer is to keep the search engine spiders from indexing the word. But you would not have been happy with a simple answer because it 8s a more involved question.

Now, if you actually want to talk about every drug under the sun, then I suggest doing so on a site that caters to that conversation. High Times is still around, but they tend to have a more narrow focused topic.

Me personally, I’m not into the Q-anon stuff nor the 9/11 or even Chemtrails. I like paranormal and folklore topics. Politics can be interesting especially discussing power creep into areas previously forbidden. Or how things are twisted to get away with it.

Fortunately for everyone, the site is ruled by the T&C. Not my opinions nor other people’s opinions. And as pointed out by DTOM…drug use discussions are not a topic of discussion.
