Work stuff, wth..

Let's say you have a job in a field where you spend part of the time inside doing inventory and then at some places you might have to be sent god knows where to take notes and take inventory but in a sense to where you might have to be out in some noname place with sea green or pink curtains and white 30 year old tables and flourescent lights little white soap and toothpaste bottles, not a lot of amenities out on the road, pee-cans and such, stopping off at wierd little places and grills and who knows, meeting with groups, .going out with your pad and doing inventory. ..

When you're inside doing systems inventory, you get shown as a matter of course and you get to see the structure, backs of doors at warehouses in brick buildings, and catch processes as time goes by. Let's say its for all these types of communistic little breweries and such one sees popping up in certain places in neighborhoods you wouldn't normally expect next to busted up side walks..or something like that at least. ..

Well let's say that your boss or some part of the structure above you don't see starts acting bizarrely and as usual its entirely incumbent on you to pick up what is going on because people act as if its completely normal, while chauffeuring you around, isnt that unusual..even though something isn't right in the "what is the point" sense and as usual people will prattle on until you force them to tell you something like everything's disconnected.. you will get in a fight when is that not the case and then two months later your boss incedentally passes on that your ideas are being implemented at some level from out of nowhere but no one contacted you (thanks for the compliment.)

There's some indication somebody at top wants you to do some inner gear type manager duty but it's always this grapevine stuff and rigamarole and its them tipping you off with messages that they liked your _whatever that you think is supposed to mean _x .. You know it's not the company having issues because you know that's not the deal, and you'd suspect bizarre personal reasons for doing things with your boss and upper staff maybe a bit of out of it processing on account of communications between upper management as is kind of the thing but this time its found you because it thinks you're cute or something. Idk. .

Let's say you get told simultaneously you might get demoted and promoted and it's not your boss acting alone it's all coming from the same system of communications. You may be on your ass outside being basically in the worst position ever. You may be inside doing managerial things. Your boss keeps telling you all of these company secrets seeming like it has a reason. You put energy into inventory and making appearances at do's or such which is not usually your thing, a do.

You get this warning you might be out shucking it and its sudden and it's from a building in some place you cant see. You start contacting all your old buddies. You get called back. You get then chauffeured around all of these roads only managers ride on and get told things that seem like something one would point out if they were literally considering you as a manager like where the important meetings happen and even what goes on good god!.

No answer or reason though, so you begin to get frustrated. Is this just a tour because someone is being chatty? So why has it happened more than once and in this fashion like there is some purpose this is going on? And then you come to the worst conclusion ever: do people in general literally just keep a person around just to keep them there? Just to...look at them..to..know they won't leave you?... lol, Sounds like something out of a horror movie right?.

I mean I'd be a male prostitute if anyone wanted, but no one seems to ask. And at this point I'd be 70 by the time they got around to going oh..yeah... things. .. and let me tell you 70 year old meat is no good. So maybe its malaise but I really don't know.

So what then would be the use of this? I would have to know what is going on because I would risk being literally kept from advancement. My question is that: what would be the point of keeping a person just to keep a person if every time they ready themselves the rug gets yanked from under them? A person to look at? If they had an issue why all of the making sure I don't do anything anywhere else? Like I said it's not even like people want me for sexual favors. Which is the only reason I'd suspect for kind of micromanaging someone into not doing things ever again. And boy would anyone be in for it if I woke up in a barn on a bed. So I sit. And wait. And try to see if someone tells me what is going on. Am I going to be out or what? Gosh darn say something heh?

I'm starting to get confused. Any advice or explanation as to what this might be? I put up with it for so long because I'm willing to accept things have a purpose and some "this happened but then that happened" is understandable. Doesn't mean I'm a wooden object in a corner. No accounting between various management buildings? They seem to know everything else about what goes on. .. so wth. ...

Sometimes it's transparent, sometimes it's not. Depends on the owner and the structure. I'd assume that you put it in writing and have copies?

As an example, day before Christmas 2017 I blew my stack when the entire company left and I told them the booklet maker was going to break. I quit on the spot. The entire structure of product production was changed and a brand new booklet maker shows up 6 months later and the owner shakes my hand right in front of the entire company thanking me for coming back to work for him.

Granted in my examle, it is a smaller company but when you are squeaky someone is bound to pour oil on you.
