I cant see beyond Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr as my favourite current standup comedians. Being from the UK, I just dont find American stand up that funny and boy have I tried.

Probably the funniest comedian I saw was the late Mike Reid, although Ben Elton's 97 show was just epic.
