Too far from Ukraine for me to think they were involved directly. Most likely typical Russian incompetence and/or antiquated equipment. Along the same lines of RBMK reactors don't 'splode.

insider sabotage was more where I was heading. Disgruntled scientists against the war, is it that far-fetched?

Is it weird that Ukrainian News reports what was developed there, while Tass doesn't?

No, I think that's a possibility.

Not at all, Russia is all about saving face and metering the facts. Anything that makes them look even worse than they are now can be lumped in with 'ammunition explosions' and 'redeployments'.

I hope all the critical infrastructure in CONUS is on a heightened state of alert.

No telling what kind of sinister operatives have been coming in from our southern border.

Those old missing Soviet nuclear suitcase bombs was just urban legend, right?

Surely 'we' can't have been so stupid as to attack these installations given the current climate?
Or maybe 'we' had a bloody good reason to?

Or just what they initially seem to be, accidents?

No matter what, I imagine Putin will put some sort of spin on it.
