In Your Opinion - Which ATS Forums Need an Overhaul and in What Way?

Personally, I'd like to see the "World War III" forum renamed to "Wars and Conflicts".

That forum does not have a "guidance" post from ATS management describing what the topics should be.

As a result, almost no thread in that forum pertains to events that could lead to "World War III".

ATS Members: In Your Opinion, which forum, or forums, do you feel need some type of major adjustment, and how should that adjustment be accomplished?

Note: I'm not affiliated in any way with ATS owners/management. Just wondering how many others think some adjustment is needed to how forum content is structured.

I agree with what you're saying, however, I'd probably be inclined to say the whole library of forums needs to be reorganised and rationalised.

For example, news & political stuff which is spread across;

breaking news forums
conspiracy theory forums
political forums
current events forums
general off-topic chitchat forums

I could go on, but I'm sure you get the point.

Once upon a time a long time ago ATS had four different forum sites and while some forums were eliminated there were a few that stayed separate because they were “catch all” forums on that topic on a different site such as Political News on ATSNN the news site. Or that Regional Politics have more specific reasoning on PTS the politics site.

It is like the guard guarding a crack on the sidewalk. He is there because there has always been a guard posted there. And history finds that the daughter of some king from 600 years ago saw a flower growing in that crack. And wanted a guard posted to keep people from stepping on it. A guard still stands to protect a long dead and forgotten flower of a long dead and forgotten princess.

Will it be fixed? Who knows. But safe to say that the guard will be there tomorrow.

I agree. I don't know if it would be easier (cheaper) to prioritize and make adjustments over time, or build what amounts to a mirror forum and transfer everything over at once.

I would like to see the letter light up again like it used to but from what I read the original coder is no longer alive ? And the work would be great and expensive to complete according to SO

I would love to see the date under the title when that story was posted
because maybe it's important for historical reasons, nice to know if it's
a new topic & also maybe a clue if it's been hijacked or whatever when
someone is posting on every topic like when you hit recent & see their
name all the way down the column for every topic...
Especially annoying to see Breaking News that is no longer breaking
that can be days, weeks or months old.

I think it's time to change the 2012 forum to something along the lines of End of Days forum. 2012 is over and done, but End of Days will always be around.

Id like to see the inability to copy/paste the exact same thing on multiple threads.

Very annoying when trying to keep up with conversations.

Could probably narrow it down a bunch
New forums;
Hate for Biden and Democrats
Liberals Vaccine agenda
Russian propaganda
Everything Else

That about covers every popular topic discussed. Or you could literally change the name of this website to "Hate" and dump the forums all together.

I would love the ability to clearly indicate when a thread is lying , isn't factual , leaves out context , is fantasy or is opinion stated as fact.

I have no doubts that in its current form ATS would never actually go for that but still one can hope.

A little off topic. I would like to see ATS run through a blockchain. Put us back in the space race.

I'm just gonna throw this in. I agree with all of the above. But I really wish a creation or started date would be next to each thread, as in: when that particular thread was created. It's a little irritating to go into a thread and see that it was something from years ago.

Get rid of ALL of the political forums, every single one of them. Politics has poisoned this site so badly. Politics is about 95% of this site, and it’s terrible the way politics has creeped into most of the forums.

But the PTB on here would never do that. Politics are its bread and butter.

Also, most of the worlds conspiracies deal with political intrigue. Removing politics from the site altogether would remove most of the site postings and threads. Not because they are political, but because the conspiracies are.

Cut and dry for space sake. Like August 1st Archive everything older than 10 days, then any category that doesn't get used in the next month gone. But still have the acchives for a price or something. Lots of forums could go.

For ten years I've added the day and date to posts when it's helpful to do so, and on 100% of my posts that start a thread.

Dating is very critical for several reasons. (not social dating)

I do that all the time, due to so many threads with the same subject.

For example: If another piece of criminal evidence is found pertaining to the Biden crime family, I post it in one thread and copy/paste it to 3 others that are discussing Biden family crimes. (I Made a deal with ATS that 3 is the most I'll do...although I could do 10 copy/pastes in some cases, due to so many threads with similar subjects!)
