"If the Ukrainians were the good guys the commanders would have told us to leave Mariupol."

He says the media is 70% responsible for him making the decision to fight. Being in love with a Ukrainian woman is the other 30%.

The Ukrainians fell silent when they eventually realised their government had sacrificed them for political gain.

Well worth listening to this gentleman. I see no sign of him being forced to say what he's saying.

If you want to post Russian Propoganda, at least get your thread title correct. Aiden Aslin is a Ukranian Marine, and has been since 2018. Mercenary he is not.

The motto is

Deny Ignorance

not

Deny Evidence

You didn't even know he admits he was a mercenary and talked about his contracts.

He's a mercenary mate. Fought in other countries prior to Ukraine. Joined the 36th in Ukraine as a mercenary.

His Twitter is entirely anti Russian .

He could well be speaking under duress but doesn't seem like it.

Well worth watching.

So our British Army under George Wallace is not only training the Ukranian military, not only supplying their weapons, we also have mercenaries fighting for them too. Some geezer on the news ex MOD a week or so ago said the same, he said while there was no way our forces can fight Russia directly there was no problem with mercenaries who want to take the queens crown being used to further British interests. Unbelievable but true

I saw a quickly deleted Twitter video of the actor playing a president in the Ukraine , buzzing out of his noggin and sniffing a lot ,mind you when you have earnings of 113 $ million last year you can pretty much do what you want .

I really hope that video makes the rounds ,for those with eyes to see and all that ,I can see zelensky ass backwards on a donkey sometime soon if he lives

The interviewer is a smug, aggressive, deliberately punitive guy who is clearly loving every second of pressure he's applying to this prisoner of war. He's literally loving his self-authorised position as judge & jury against this man, who is clearly dejected, and by the looks of things wasn't particularly switched on to the political realities of the Ukraine forces. He's captive, his future is uncertain, he's clearly very depressed about his situation, and the stupid interviewer is gleefully trying to make him feel even worse, trying to make him admit to killing babies & loving Nazis. The interviewer is a douchebag, the captive merc is a captive merc who made stupid choices, probably on a streak since he started playing COD ten years ago, went off to Syria, then to Ukraine, clearly enjoying the military lifestyle. And obviously he fought with the Kurds in Syria, so he was on the side of the good guys - and look at our own media glorifying Ukraine, everyone who joins up must think it's a worthy cause - they're being tricked into it!

GRAHAM, Phillips (b. 1979) is a British blogger, an employee of the Russian propaganda TV channels. Born in Nottingham, he graduated from the University of Dundee. Until 2010, he was a clerk at the Central Information Bureau in London, where, along with 700 other employees, he reviewed government websites and prepared reports for the Parliament. Since 2009, Phillips began visiting Ukraine as a football fan, and a year later he moved to Kyiv (later to Odesa), where he taught English. Besides, he worked as a freelancer, columnist, special correspondent, and photographer. He wrote for his blog Brit in Ukraine, mostly describing his visits to Ukrainian nightclubs and brothels. After a failure to publish some investigations and his disappointment with the Euromaidan protests, he was hired by RT in December 2013.

Its hard to say if this is under duress, its hard to really tell if hes just being open an honest or hes just saying what hes clearly being LEAD to say, quite aggressively , in order to go home

This reporter needs his damn jaw broke for his smug , aggressive, self aggrandizing attitude.....

That being said, Im absolutely sure that atrocities have been happening from BOTH sides of this conflict and I urge people AGAIN, to not put all your eggs in one basket with all this, theres a REASON NONE of the worlds reporters are really trying to put out up front and honest information from either side

What that is, I really dont know yet, but its clear that they are playing both sides of the fence intentionally and THIS GUY is or was a reporter for RT ......THAT is verified fact so take that for what you will

I can't really take any denouncements or criticism this guy would have for the Ukrainians at face value, whilst he's sitting in captivity.

BUT, what I find curious, and perhaps I haven't been paying sufficient attention, is the lack of competing media appearances or interviews that Ukrainian forces ought to be putting forward portraying their questioning of Russian captives.

Hmm. Is it the case that the Ukrainians haven't captured many Russian prisoners? Or is the case that Russian prisoners haven't remained upright and breathing for very long once entering Ukrainian custody.

The only thing this man says that holds any modicum of weight with me is the description of equipment and vehicles that he /alleges/ (have to qualify that) that the Ukrainians were in possession of, that appeared to be rather new e.g. U.S. Humvees.

If this is true, it's unconscionable that with the state of play in our own country, with all of the concerns we have, that mint, new, expen$ive equipment is finding its way into this war zone. Now, maybe this wasn't procured from Uncle Sam; maybe it was bought and paid for by intermediaries, arms dealers, the like.

Sanctions should be the ONLY thing that the U.S. is even considering. The idea that someone is potentially war profiteering off of this is beyond disgusting. Are these items being paid for in U.$. currency? In I.O.U.s? In exchange for burying information or surfacing key bits of information?

Also, from afar, it seems like juuuust enough equipment, material support and warm bodies are being injected into this mess to keep it simmering at a slow boil. Again, WHY. What possible good does it do for the Ukrainians to keep this conflict lurching along, without really having any reasonable shot of ejecting the Russians.

Sorry, this entire deal, ALL of it, STINKS, it smells ROTTEN.

The Russians, in my view, lost a huge chunk of moral high ground in this affiar when they went past just securing Donbass, but it also shouldn't be lost on objective observers that there is a long, messy preface (events of 2014) that the Ukrainians and their Western overlords (one of which that's sitting in the W.H.) had a hand in.

I think there are players on both sides that are not losing any sleep the longer this goes on, and they have vested interest in keeping all of this War Churn, social, economic, and diplomatic, sloshing about in Ukraine.

He is a British-Ukrainian national and current Ukrainian Marine who previously fought with the Kurdish YPG militia in Rojava, northern Syria.

He was fighting for something he believed in. Where he was they ran out of ammo and so had no choice but to surrender. He posted that they would have to surrender unless they got supplies. Which, obviously, they didn't get. Ergo: Became POW's.
The statements he has made since being captured have clearly been made under duress.
